The way forward in my opinion:

    1. Campbell at fullback with Brimson in the halves with Taylor at 7. I feel like Campbell is more elusive and better at making space while Brimson is better at just running straight and hard into holes

    2. Marzhew and Thompson for wingers next week

    3. Keep Peachey in the 14. I like his spark out of hooker.

    4. Fotuaika and Wallace as starting props with McIntyre at lock and Tino and Fifita in the second row.

    5. Tell our halves to look for set restarts to build pressure while also making a tryscoring opportunity. You see way more tries of grubbers than cross field kicks or bombs and if you don't score of the grubber there is a good chance that you get the ball back so it should be a no-brainer

    6. We need to get up of our line and meet the ball runner

Howdy all! Been bush for a few weeks (proper bush...not camping, pretend bush)…

After watching todays effort...agree with FS's view.

Pretty sure Mal Meninga always saw Brimo as a 6. With his apparent loss of speed....I agree.

    Keep JC at 1.

    Is Marzhew Is Good!!

To make finals we probably need 26-28 points (12-13 wins). Currently we are on 10 but also have a bye so technically 12. That means we need to win 7-8 of our last 10 games. in our last ten games we have:

    Long odds
    Eels
    Rabbitohs
    Storm

    Winnable
    Dragons
    Cowboys
    Warriors
    Manly

    Should win
    Raiders
    BYE
    Bulldogs
    Knights

If we beat the teams we should beat and win the winnable games we are a chance. In saying that if we could have got four points over the last two weeks we would make the 8 pretty easily

Yes mate I watched the same-old same-old **** as you but I chose my words in context. Pretty sure effort isn’t the same as performance but that’s ok

Hurricane needs to get some balls and he needs to get them right now or next year will be lost

It may look like our defence is getting better but it isn't. Our attack in the last 30 minutes, which was lackluster in the first 50, hid how poor our defence was. They scored 35 points on us.

We may be showing effort but that means nothing without intent and I think that is what we are lacking

    I'll say it...

If we don't start putting it together for 80 minutes...I predict we'll finish 15th, just in front of the bulldogs.

I don't know enough to know why our defense is lousy. I don't know enough to know why a team can't score more than 4 points with 62% possession. Don't know enough to know why I follow this team. All they do is ruin my weekends.

Yep. Cokey doesn't like to pass the ball

What a thrilling game. First half was an absolute disgrace. Second half came alive and we had a bit of excitement, unfortunately sitting in the crowd I knew full well we would blow it.

Fifta was an absolute plodder today and isn't worth half his money. I would say our half pairing are the absolute worst in the comp including the Broncos. When Peachey came on it was for Tino and Cokey the useless clown went into the middle and then we were exposed terribly. later on when KP was gassed and standing on the edge right in front of me Tino was trying to get back on and they were trying to get him back on the field for someone else. Whoever it was they weren't coming and KP reluctantly left the field. That is the exact moment we started the come back.

Sami is a useless prick and the try he let in was right in front of me and was a pathetic effort. If we have Mo I reckon we win, if the ref and bunker aren't cheating ****s we win when Crichtons try is a double movement. When you have to use two captains challenges in the first 5 mins of a game you know the ref is a corrupt prick. The second challenge that we lost on should have been retained as the call from the ref was incorrect, the result would still be a scrum rather than a turn over therefore the ref was wrong.

Anyway, at least we came back.

JC was fantastic, like he has spiderman fingers.

Only upside is that we should challenge any charge that KP is on and send Mal to defend him so his suspension is doubled.

Bring back Corey Thompson and tell Sami he is free to F off.

Glad to see JC getting some love, his toughness and strength in the contact is really impressive given his size.

You don’t think Fifita went ok JB? I liked his effort today. Feel a bit for him playing outside Taylor and being given static ball and asked to run at a brick wall of players. 104m, 9 tackle breaks in 36 minutes this afternoon

Maybe all the action was at the other end of the field, I sit in beside of the opposition tunnel. When he was playing down my end I thought he was below average at best. He lost the ball on our last exit set that gave the Rorters the chance for the field goal.

    I'll rant again.

Holbrook came to this team and it felt like every game he had a strategic plan to win games. Now it seems like there is no prep. I'm embarrassed to lose to the team that the Broncos cooked. I never would have wanted Kevvie as a coach but this year he is outdoing our coach.

When Tino was coat hangered we got a penalty and they got a player on report. Perfect time for Tino to go to the side line and rotate a forward or edge forward. What do we do? Nothing. Tino stays on. 2 ****ing minutes later we use an interchange to get Fifita on for (I can't rememer who). If we use the free interchange Tino is off, fifita is on, tino back on rotate with whoever it was that was subbed. This **** isn't hard and I can't forgive stupidity like that. I think it was around the 28th minute and the Roosters used their first interchange but it was the 3rd player swap of the night. Unforgivable.

Proctor doesn't pass because by the time he gets the ball, there is no opportunity on his outside for his outside man...with out his outside man being forced into touch by the oppositions sliding defence. Smart play.

Proctor doesn't pass because there is rarely anyone pushing up on the inside to change the angle of attack. Must be frustrating, even after all this time.

Some people like to put the boot into Kev saying he hasn't performed consistently since arriving here...but truth be told...he came as a very solid backrower from a very, very good storm system, to us. He couldn't change us as into the storm, no matter how hard he tried.

I hope Tino doesn't end up the same. Some are already asking if he was over hyped. No, he wasn't. He's just trying his guts out in a relatively dumb footy side. He needs a smart dummy half to work with him...like he used to feed off Cam Smith. We don't have that.

Fifita needs a smart 6, 7 and especially 9 to take the line on and create space (holes) for him to hit. If we keep using him the way we are...we risk turning him into a Tony Williams type player that hits the ball up, then props and tries to push off the first tackler...then gets swallowed by the defence. He needs to be hitting holes, not trying to trample defenders every time.

    Just watched as though live.
I feel like crying myself to sleep now.
Although we got close the fact is we gave up 35 points.
We as a club are in a deep hole.

Bunnies had 50 put on them. Twice. It’s the way of the modern game.
