Absolutely furious to see those clowns break the rules so outrageously. The game was already coping it from some quarters for fast tracking returning to the football field. There needs to be a whole game aim to improve the reputation of what an NRL player is. Well done Mal for giving them both barrels.

I just think back to the men who had real jobs and played footy.

I think back to the pioneers of our game who played it for the love. Now we have a growing privileged bratpack. People behaving like man-children.

Side-note: Can you imagine being on one of those early Kangaroos Tours? By ship. Adventure of a lifetime but also months away from home. We even lost a Kangaroo on the way, Sydney University centre Ray Morris contracted meningitis en route and died in hospital.

If that's the case I hope we don't go to the expense of hiring cbus and just have it at a local footy field with TV quality stadium lighting.

Off topic, but the thing that worries me most about the season starting up again is the trash that showed they weren't up to the task in the first two rounds be given another chance to "prove" themselves again rather than carrying the rage through to round 3 off the back of the ****e performance from Rd 2 and the coach forcing his own hand to try something drastically different to see what will actually work.

If we name the same team I think i'll be happy enough to not have faith we chose the right coach.

For those that say who, anyone else is my answer. Losing can't be worse but at least the big $ players are relegated to a year of nothing.

This is definitely a year where we get rid of the copious rubbish that’s weekly embarrassing the owners/staff/Members who deserve way better than what these blokes give and we use cap space to bring in ambitious young blokes that want to be here and create.

Yes I very much hope they throw a different team out there! We can’t play pretty much the same team as last year and expect better results! The young/new guys showed plenty of promise in the pre season! We need to give them a go! Bring something new to the team instead of our usual crap.. bring tanah/Clarke in at hooker, or play tanah in the halves.. our halves have always been a problem and we need something to get us going.. Pearson on the wing at least and GL in Watkins centre position.. please don’t play Copley there!!

I really liked the look of Clarke in attack. Not sure why he's not getting a sniff. Is his defense not up to it?

Because we already have two hookers and it has only been two rounds.

Neither of which have performed and take up a place on the bench that causes a reshuffle in which players play out ofmposition and wreak havoc on the defence.

I can’t stand it when both Rein and Peats are on the park at the same time.
Just pick one or the other at hooker and play someone else such as Peachey or TBoyd or even TRoberts as the utility #17.

I'll be happy if they can somehow manage to get their discipline in order. The amount of errors and penalties was ridiculous in the first two rounds. I don't know what the problem was...fitness?? Their mental game? We need to lift so we can compete.

Rein is one example. (But not the only...Wallace was a standout) I think opposition teams know that he can be a threat out of dummy half...so they target him when they have the ball. Blokes around him need to take on some of his defensive work, so he can be a little fresher in attack. He is a defensive specialist, and his stats show this...but it takes its toll on him.

In two rounds Rein and Koroisau were the two top tacklers out of all the hookers. Rein made 92 tackles. Api Koroisau (who I think was the form hooker for the first two rounds) made 93 tackles. And that's where the comparison sort of ends.

Other stats show that Api scored 1 try, made 1 missed tackle, no errors, conceded 2 penalties, had 13 runs and made 159m.

Mitch scored no tries, made 8 missed tackles, made 5 errors, 2 penalties, had 4 runs and made 49m.

The other thing of note...Api played the full 160 minutes where as Mitch made his tackles in only 127 minutes.

I think all in all...we need to be able to settle down, concentrate, trust the blokes around us to do their jobs and get in the grind with teams. Going into panic mode and trying to do it all yourself just leads to knock-ons, frustration, penalties and losses.

Easier said than done?? We can only hope!

Right, but he asked why he hasn’t been given a go yet. If we are several more rounds in and neither Rein nor Peats gets it together then I expect Clark to get a go.

Who I really want to see given a run is Jamal Fogarty with Taylor moved to 6.

True he did. So my guess is that we name a team based on salary cap and who gets paid the best. Even when they fail there are no consequences and mid week the people who truly are the worst in our team will give an interview whereby they absolve themselves of their previous sins and promise to be a good little footballer the coming week which the coach seems to believe and keep choosing them. That is why the two useless hookers we have get played before him. That and he's not a recognised hooker according to his bio.
