All I've seen advertised the past week is a Brady Bunch Marathon and the hype over the rights to show Days Of Our Lives on W Channel. Is this why I should pay extra for individual units on each telly in the house and a FOXTEL IQ system to record it all if I'm out, or maybe the SMS service to remind me to get home so I don't miss a single "Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!" - Oh wait, thats right, its all good cause we've got I-Ad - INTERACTIVE Advertisement! Cause really, why else get Pay TV? Without INTERACTIVE commercials, its just Free To Air, at a price.

There is alot of garbage on Foxtel, but I love it, I mainly stick to the rugby league, doco channels, movies, sci fi and comedy.

I havn't got IQ (The Foxtel type, I got a bit of the mental type, but many would argue that haha.) but Im gonna get a DVD recorder instead.

I also have a very fine (some would say garbage.) taste in television, which can only be found on pay tv.

Yep...I think so too....They have more adds now than ever...whats the deal with that? Thats been up my nose for a long time now...My husband got it for Boxing...Footy....Some Sport.....Mostly Footy! And for me of Course (better have)....

Oh excellent idea DIEHARD, cause I often find myself needing another outlet to piss money up the wall gambling when phone better, internet better, the local TAB, the casino and random bets with mates doesn't completely clean me out.

I don't have a FOXTEL IQ either. Can't really see the point in rewinding something that'll be replayed every 72hrs until the sun burns out.

I love Foxtel. We have Digital and just record stuff with our DVD recorder.
I mainly use it for the live motorsport. MotoGP, World SUperbikes and A1GP to say the least. Would be cool if they got Formula 1 as well. I absolutely hate the commentary on Channel 10. its crap to say the least.

I also watch the NRL on it. As we are an 'AFL' state, we are lucky to get like 1 live game on channel 9 a year... haha.
So i just watch them live on Foxtel.

This is why I just won't get pay tv.
It has as many, if not more, ads as free to air.
$36 a month for 30 channels I don't want. Then another $16 on top of that to get the sports channels to watch the footy? Stuff that.

If they had a pay per channel thing, where you pay $10 a month with just a couple basic channels, then $5 per extra channel, i'd be happy with that.

Only thing from the basic 30 channels i'd want is Fox8, maybe TV1.


Just isn't worth it.

Foxtel IQ is a must i reckon, is the best igh tech thing i have bought in this house.

I simply love it,

Some examples:

Monday night i go to the footy with my 9rold daughter, but i get a different view on fox, so i IQ the pre-game, game and after game show.

Get home about 11pm, get to watch the game again at my choosing, also see that my Daughter has been singled out at the start of the game, with a big "GO PRESTON".

Watching a show on saturday, which was interesting but is a "to be continued" bah ill never remeber, its ok with IQ, i just set a series record on it, and it will not only tape next weeks, will tape every weeks untill i stop it.

Watching a game LIVE on a Friday night, and the phone rings, thats ok ill just Pause LIVE TV and catch up during the adds, by fast forwarding.

Watching a game LIVE, and i spill my beer, while trying to clean it, we score the most brillant try ever, thats cool i have IQ, ill just rewind LIVE TV to see it.

I simply love it, its the best thing i have ever got, i must say i never paid the prices being asked now, i had to pay a once off payment of $195 dollars, no monthly crap

Mate im hearing ya, but it does happen.

On the IQ, its a must, i couldnt stand normal Foxtel anymore, in fact if i see a show that i want to watch, i IQ it, watch something else, or come on here for a chat, then when i go back, i can watch it with no adds.

Shows like LOST, i dont mind, but i cant watch that without IQ, otherwise i go crazy about the adverts.

I HATE FOXTEL!!! they steal 75% of the titans games bloody bastards!!!! so i have to listen to the radio all the time,,,btw who gives a toss about the broncos anymore, they should show the titans games on chanel 9 all the time
