Gold Coasters all let us rejoice,
For we have a brand new team
The Bull and Red lead from the front,
Webster and Petersen on the wing.

Laffranchi and Minichiello are our driving force,
    Ritchie Mathers at the back.
Clint Amos out of dummy half
And Luke Swain locks the pack

Scott Prince and Waltzing in the halves
Rogers and Delany our centre pair,
So sing it loud and sing it proud,
Gold Coast Titans play with flair.

Lets say it again and lift our men,
Gold Coast Titans play with flair!
Yeah its really great! My only concern with that one is there are so many people out there and not many people will be able to remember something as difficult as that. It has to be really simple and easy to remember....And chances are a lot of the players will change over time and substituting names will become hard.
Go Titanettes! Keep up the good work!!

While I have a sense of humour like any other Australian, I think its inappropriate to make fun of him especially targeting an obvious problem he is battling personally, especially on our official forum.

We are here to support Chris and the club in supporting him.

I'm cleaning up this thread, please reframe from making light of players in ways that are inappropriate.

Let's keep them quality and positive.

Don't worry, its Origin time, someone is sure to put their foot in it and we can take the piss outta them for ages. Provided he's not a Titans player of course.

I think Saturday night will be a good time to get a few going! Print out the ones you want to sing and take them with you. I think the Yellow Submarine/Titans Victory should be easy enough!

A new one, sung to the tune of Chuck Berry, Johnny B. Goode.

Way down to the beaches where they meet the sea
And back up to the hinterland where its nice and green
We've got clear blue skies and golden sands,
And we've got a new team called the Gold Coast Titans
People have come from miles around,
To see this new team that makes the Gold Coast proud,

(Chorus) Go Go, Go TITANS Go, Go Go, Go TITANS Go, Go Go,

    These TITANS are good.

This is one for all the Scott Prince fans. He's been doing very good things and probably (no, definately!) deserves something better than this, but this is about the best I can come up with. Maybe someone else can do the man justice.....

Sung to the tune of "Wild Thing" ( a crowd favourite!)

    Scott Prince
    When you play rugby league
    You make everything
    Look easy

Scott Prince, I think it's try time
But I gotta know for sure
Come on and make the play
    Put us across the line

    Scott Prince
    When you play rugby league
    You make everything
    Look easy

Scott Prince, I think it's try time
But I gotta know for sure
Come on and run the ball
    And cross the line

If you know the real song you would know that it is quite repetitive. Also very easy to sing when it's 3am and it's been a big night.

This one is a classic tune, that everyone can sing the chorus line.

Sung to The Who, My Generation

People try to put us down (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)
Just because we're new in town (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)
The things they do look awful good (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)
You'd play like that if you could (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)

    These are the Titans
    These are the Titans, baby

Why don't you all f-f-fade away (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)
And don't try to copy the way we play (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)
I'm not trying to cause a big s-s-sensation (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)
I'm just talkin' 'bout my g-g-g-Gold Coast Titans (Talkin' 'bout the Gold Coast Titans)

    These are the Titans
    These are the Titans, baby

I think this would be a good one for a crwod to get involved in. Anyone else like this one?

Its no good trying to 'sing' to a 'tune'...the crowd will not get it right...Keep the 'tune' out of it...it needs to be a chant that all can join in (leave the 'singing' to pros like the barmy army or at least untill weve had a couple of seasons practice on the easy stuff)...for crying out loud we cant even get a decent crowd sing along for the national anthem!!!
If the majority of ppl cant even remeber the words to our countrys own anthem how the heck are they gonna get a full blown set of lyrics like the ones ppl are suggesting...can you imagine a couple of thousand ppl trying to coordinat f-f-f-fade away....LOL...try going around all the junior footy clubs on the coast and listen to the team chants they pop out at the end of the game...its magic my son plays for nerang roosters and when they win they have a sing not a big production but a simple but effective (and respectfull) chant.

The legion: Were the Titans from the Coast.
The rest of the fans: Were the Titans from the Coast.
The legion: We came here to play and win.
The rest of the fans: We came here to play and win.
All: WE PLAY HARD - WE PLAY TOUGH
All: To come up with the winning stuff
Legion: So come on all you Titans fans
Legion: Lets here you shout as loud as you can
    All: TITANS
    All: TITANS
    All: TITANS

Actually, most people have said they need a tune (that they already know) to help them know how the song/chant goes. If it's just a shouting chant, then I agree, there is no need for a tune.

Personally, I don't see the Barmy Army as "pros", just a bunch of supporters who get together and make an effort to get involved. They do a great job because they know how the songs go. They know the tune and they learn the words and then they all sing together. It's not really that difficult....... I would condemn myself to painful death if I felt that I could not live up to the "greatness" of the Barmy Army!

Also, does it get much easier than the Yellow Submarine/Titans Victory song? I am sure even Bulldogs supporters could eventually learn the tune.....

Anyway, I am really thinking that songs are more for the Legion amusing ourselves and others during stoppages, between halves, pre/post-game etc and chants are more for leading the crowd at the right moments during play to energise and lift our team.

seriously you are aiming way to high to early. the thing is they dont need to be complicated or witty. just make them easy. like the dargons army can get everyone involved cause they are simple.

I'm with Titanettes boyfriend and ozynorts on the song from Remember The Titans. Catchy and easy to remember so everyone can get involved. Mighty, Mighty Titans. Easily the best movie ever.

Was just thinking for a moment and thought if the main concern was tune and people being able to follow then maybe we need a song similar to the " Everywhere we go" in that someone calls and everyone repeats. That way even if you are a first timer all you have to do is follow the leader.

I am far from coming up with anything that resembles a chant but I may have a few lines to go in it (in no particular order).

    I don't know if you've been told,
We're the boys in blue white gold

Whos the side we love the most?
    Might Titans of Gold Coast.

Have a look at the scoreboard,
Titans put you to the sword.

Titans boys turned up to play,
    (Opposition Name) they did slay.

All feedback or suggestions for lines welcome!!!!
