    Arrow 2007/2008 Signings Thread

This thread is an updated version of the last movements thread which can be found here:http://www.titans.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=4167

    This list contains:

Gains: Made by clubs for the 2008 season and beyond, some gains are that of those who
signed during 2007 season too. So your team may have signed someone in 2006 but they will not appear on the list ie: the titans will be missing a few players to their gained list.

Losses: These are made up of players that have signed elsewhere in the year 2007 to go to other clubs for the 2008 season and beyond, as in the gains some losses have been done mid way through 2007.

Re-signed: Players that have re-signed in the year 2007

    Eels Re-Sign 5 Players

    Wednesday, May 23, 2007 - 11:47 AM

The Parramatta National Rugby League Club is delighted to announce that the following players have today agreed to terms to remain at the Club.

    Tim Smith (08-09)

    Feleti Mateo (08,09,10)

    Josh Cordoba (08-09)

    Matt Keating (08-09)

    Daniel Wagon (08)

Parramatta Eels Chief Executive Denis Fitzgerald says it is a tremendous day for the Club.

“When players commit like this it shows great faith in our coaching staff and playing roster. They are popular players with the supporters and are a great base to build the Club on for years to come,” Mr Fitzgerald said.

“I’m particularly pleased with the retention of Feleti as I am aware of how keenly sought after he was on the open market, especially with one particular Club,” Mr Fitzgerald added.

Head Coach Michael Hagan says it is great news for the Club.

“I am thrilled with these signings and am delighted I will be working with these players in the coming years. It shows how much they want to be a part of what we are doing and their retention gives us all a boost,” Hagan said.

Looks like the Titans can strike him of their hit list for next year.

    Jamie Soward to the Dragons
    Luke MacDougall to the Knights
Richie Williams given permission to talk to other clubs from Dragons

SOWARD OFFICIALLY A DRAGON, MACDOUGALL RELEASED
    Monday 28 May 2007 17:35

    by (Press Release)
    Source: www.dragons.com.au

St George Illawarra today advise that Jamie Soward has officially joined the Club until the end of 2008 and Luke MacDougall has been released.

The Dragons have been impacted by long-term injury and rehabilitation problems in the halves in 2007 and Soward, having been released from the Sydney Roosters will help fill this void.

MacDougall, 25, has been released from the Dragons and will join his brother Adam at the Newcastle Knights.

"Jamie is a talented play-maker who will be a 'boost' for our Club," said Dragons Chief Executive Officer Peter Doust.

"Unfortunately we have suffered injuries within our halves this season and to make way for another, we had to let an outside back go.

"Newcastle were looking for an outside back so we agreed to let Luke go," added Doust.

"We wish Luke well and welcome Jamie to the Dragons".

At the Sharks, Josh Hannay, Brett Seymour and Michael Greenfield were all told to look elsewhere beyond 2008, while the Cowboys’ Rod Jensen joined Super League team Huddersfield on release.
    NRL.com

The Sharks have told josh hannay, brett semyour and michael greenfield to look elsewhere for the 2008 season, so i'm not sure what contracts they were on but their released at the end of this year by the sounds of it.

Also Rod Jensen to Huddersfield, does anyone know if that immediatly or end of season????

I don't know whether this is suppose to go in here or not. All from Nrl.com.

    O'meley to roosters in 2008 till 2012

    Luke O'donnell resigns till 2010
    Ray Cashmere resigs till 2009
Cooper Vuna to the Knights released 2007, not sure how long he signed for but he's at the knights.

Reece Williams re-signed for 3 years with Cronulla as well a couple weeks back. Brett Kearney's contract was given an upgrade/extension but I can't remember the time frame on that one.
