IT was love all around for former tennis star Chris Evert and her Aussie lover Greg Norman yesterday, as the controversial new couple kissed goodbye their summer holiday in Sydney.
The high-profile pair, who went public with their romance for the first time last week, savoured the final moments of their stay like a pair of lovestruck teenagers.

Snatching kisses while stopped at traffic lights, Norman and Evert, both 51, left no doubt of their affection for each other.

And after loading a slab of VB beer and a case of Australian wine on board Norman's $90 million Gulfstream G5 private jet, it looked like they planned to toast their romance on the flight home to Florida.

But the celebrations may sour in the US, where friends of Evert's ex-husband Andy Mill have spoken of his "betrayal" over the love affair.

While insisting he had given the relationship between his ex-wife and his best friend his blessing, it seems Mill was blind-sided by the romance.

"These two people have really meant a lot to me for a long time. At this point, I just wish them great happiness," he told a US magazine.

But Paul Tejera, a Florida fishing guide and close friend of Mill, said the relationship took time to accept.

"It was like the ultimate betrayal. To find out she was with Greg Norman was a shock," he said.

The Daily Telegraph revealed the romance in October last year.
