    Default Tri-Nations boost for Kiwi's

Stacey Jones may play after all
    Written by: ESL Media

Some good news for the Kiwis is that veteran scrum-half Stacey Jones looks set to line up against Great Britain at Loftus Road after all.

The former Test captain came out of self-imposed retirement from the international game to play in the two matches against Australia but is due to link up with Super League newcomers Les Catalans this week.

Jones, who is set to win his 37th cap on Saturday, was linking up with the Kiwi squad today, 24 hours late, and his availability is a boost to their hopes of reaching the November 26 final.

"We're still working with Stacey," said coach Brian McClennan. "We've been very fortunate that his French club have been very good in letting him play in the first two games and there's a good chance he's going to play at Loftus Road."

?They didn?t have any halves as such last year,? admitted Great Britain coach Brian Noble. ?He?s a world-class one so he makes a big difference to their team.

?I think there has been far too much said about what they haven?t got in their team. If you actually look at what they have got in their team, they?ve got several world-class players.?

McClennan is set to name his Test team tomorrow (Tuesday).

Thanks to www.superleague.co.uk for this news.

Good to see the club can see the benefit to their organsation by letting Stacey Play. A big boost to the Kiwi's as he is their general. Can only help Les Catalans as well by attracting the attention a international player of Stacey's standards can bring to their club.

Awesome news for the Kiwis! They have little to no chance without him.
