I think rather than buying new software, you should upgrade your computer. Video Editing is a resource hog. I just learnt all about video editing last term for ITS

Well all of the video editing programs listed above should work fine on that once you have upgraded to it

zacaroo I have seen the specs of your PC and it's nothing special, and definitely not enough for run a video editing program.

    The minimum is about:

    2GHZ CPU
80GB Hard Drive (not nessecary, but you will not be able to edit long videos and you will have to clear your footage when you start a new project)
    256MB RAM

BTW just because you have 256MB RAM which fits into my estimated requirements doesn't mean that you can run the program. Many people think that the RAM determines how fast your computer runs, but it's actually the CPU.

If your computer struggles to run Movie Maker, which is probably the least intensive video editing program out there, then you probably need to get a new PC.

The new computer you are getting should run it fine, but keep in mind that Windows Vista is a big resource hog, and it won't be very smooth. I reckon you should just put Windows XP on that computer.

Yes it is, but I thought you said in another thread that you had 256mb RAM?

What operating system are you running?
