Thois is a snippet out of ther GC Bulletin.It seems like the Titans have a community porgram up and running. Good news for both sides as i like how footy teams can give something back to the community in return for the publics support.

The playing group and coaching staff were introduced to the public for the first time at the first Gold Coast Titans Community Foundation lunch at Royal Pines yesterday.

The Community Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Titans.

The 500-person lunch raised $17,600 for the fund, which included the auction of a signed Titans surfboard for $15,000.

Fund chairman Margaret May presented the first community contribution, gifting a new Inflatable Rescue Boat and trailer to the Palm Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

Well done Titans good to see the club actively supporting community groups such as surf life saving. Especially as they are new to the Gold Coast this can only raise thier public profile and win support from other areas in the community.

$17,600 is an enormous figure. Well done!

That Titans surf board will be quite an item now and in the future. And thanks to the generous donor!

Its great they are doing so much for the community even before a game has been played.
