$700 Million Dollar Stadium

been talking to my kiwi mates and they are talking about a $700 million stadium built on the harbour for the world cup (ruby union) 2011 it is huge as

The pictures look impressive. It's a bit of a concern not going out to tender for something that big.

Is that $700 Kiwi dollars? Its still a heafty price tag.

But a new facility for rugby union and cricket is also one rugby league can use in the future, possibly when the Kiwis get more support and the NZRL learns how to promote the game to develop that support.

It is a major concern that it isnt going to tender and they are putting common sense and due process behind the want of having it ready for the union world cup.

I'd hope there was no underhanded dealings or connections in regards to them getting the contract.

They have ****ed around for a whole friggin year and are only jusst starting to plan it now!!

AND in the NZRU's bid that saw us win the rights to host the 2011 RWC, it said the final would be played at EDEN PARK, not some new waterfront stadium.

Dont Get Me Wrong I Think The Stadium Would Be A Great Asset To Nz, But I Worked For The Company That Built The Stadium In Hamilton, And The Budget Blew Out By 15 Million,and Although Its Orsome Only Ever Gets Used For Rugby 90% Of The Time And Gate Sales Have Not Been To Great In The Past 5 Years, Hope They Have Really Given It Some Thought Hate To See Another White Elehant If You Know What I Mean. !!!!!!!!!!!!
