The Dragons 2007 Full-Time Squad for 2007 is as follows:

    ? Brad Davidson
    ? Mark Gasnier
    ? Mathew Head
    ? Tom Hewitt
    ? Ben Hornby
    ? Chris Houston
    ? Dan Hunt
    ? Sam Isemonger
    ? James Jiminez
    ? Charlie Leaeno
    ? Rhys Lovegrove
    ? Keith Lulia
    ? Luke MacDougall
    ? Scott MacDougall
    ? Brett Morris
    ? Josh Morris
    ? Wes Naiqama
    ? Jason Nightingale
    ? Corey Payne
    ? Adam Peek
    ? Justin Poore

    ? Lagi Setu
    ? Ashton Sims
    ? Danny Wicks
    ? Richard Williams
    ? Simon Woolford
    ? Dean Young
    ? Ricky Young

A very good squad, sprinkled with veterans and new upcoming stars with game time and some new rookies that have shown lots of potential.

With the signing of Adam Peek, i;m no longer as worried about our ****nal up front.

They have also signed Wes younger brother in the junior grades, so the future is looking very bright.

That squad has real wooden spoon potential.

Gasnier at 5 8= poor season for dragons. He's the worlds best centre, why move him?

Also between Gaz and head as a halves combination u only get one playmaker.
Gaz= runner, average passer and not a kicker
Head= a kicker, not a runner average passer

you try and work out a side with that mob of missfits :lol!: Hornby could go into the 6, but who goes into the 1 ? mabey Slippery ? a good player but still verry young, wouldn't want to put the boy under too much stress ???? mabey the Happy Dragon could put his best 17 up ????

i like the squad. and if we do need Hornby at 5/8th then Luke Mac, Brett Morris, Josh Morris, Wes Naiqama and Tom Hewitt have all played every position from 1-5 with good throughout their PL and FG careers.

if i was to name a team id go with

Hornby (or Naiqama if Ben at 5/8th)
    B Morris
    Coops
Niaqama (gaz if Ben at 5/8th)
    L Mac or J Morris
    Gaz (or Ben)
    Head
    Ryles
    Woolford
    Sims
    Creagh
    Payne
    Young (C)

    Poore
    Wicks
    Leaeno
    Cain, Scott, Isemonger or Setu.

i think its well balanced with some really young and big forwards on the bench with Poore Wicks and Leaneo all 100kg+ and all junior state reps. keep an eye out for Setu who is 100kg+ winger/centre/2ndrow who is quite fast by reports

All the best to you guys, but that side hardly strikes fear into the opposition fans. Gaz must be in the 6 and must go well, Coops has to learn to back himself a bit more, if Dean Young and or Ben Hornby are out for more than 3 weeks over the year, well, its all over, Head will be good, you needed to keep Greenshields, that would have given Hornby (your best player by far) more room to do his thing, if you all stay on the field top 8 is there but top 4 might be a bit out of reach, just my opinion, i have been wrong before ? :noidea: :noidea: :noidea:

A lot of dragons fans seem to think that Nquaima is some super utility, can he play centre? He seems like a really good strong winger to me, I'd keep him out on the wing.

Gasnier is really really not a 5 8.

well considering he hadnt played wing till making first grade then id put him at his perfered position

and i think you will see gaz playing a role like Hornby has in the past. when attacking Hornby will be more of a 5/8th and gaz playing like a FB/Centre

Be very interesting to see how Woolford goes next year... I wonder if we will see more cross field jogs from dummy half.

i hope not. i think he will play alot less IMO if Tony Caine and Rangi Chase hit some form cause Brownie apperantly likes the way Caine plays

so thats what rangi has been signed for.

when yo uactually look at it, our forwards are going to be very good, ryles IMO really needs to stand up and be counted all year though.

Rangi is a extremely talented Hooker/Half/five-eighth and centre so he could be a great signing

Chase is extremly gifted so keep an eye out on him who knows Wolfood kmight see a bit of PL action if he dont get his act together as Teegy said there are players that could easily take his spot.
