The Sun actually rises later (time wise) with daylight savings... Hence why its sets later...

It is also a pain in the **** as the majority of major business dealings are done with sydney and melbourne, hence we lose 2 hours of business with these states

Sun setting at 6:30pm suits me.

Shouldn't we be saving daylight in winter when there is less of it? hahaha

Hey now. We are the smart state and the people voted in a democratic way to decide against daylight saving. And the population was thinking about the farmers....its all about the farmers!

One thing i can't understand is why do the farmers care. They rise with the sun and cease work when it sets. So whats the big deal with what time it is for them, still the same amount of daylight. A concept i am sure they fail to understand.

    Default Daylight Saving

For the Qlders out there( and for the other people, who do have daylight saving)...what are your thoughts on our state being the only one in Australia..which does'nt fall in line with all the other states by implementing daylight saving

I don't think it's fair for the Qlders to miss out

I know you wouldn't know this Michel, but back earlier this year DIEHARD created this same discussion and we had massive discussion on this, so I will merge the thread with that one... so you can read through what was said then...

For the Record, I reckon you Queenslander's should get into Daylight Savings, because it would make dealing with business transactions and stuff like that a lot easier...
