I agree, it could have been a classic however the story line was a bit muddy. And whilst it was good to have numerous references to previous bond films in it, I found most of the references to be slightly tedious.

Yep Cliffy I agree with you:

The 2 best Bond Films of All Time

Casino Royale and Diamonds are Forever with Goldfinger close 3rd

I liked Tomorrow Never Dies because Denise Richards was in it too.. her appearance made that film worth every cent...

Denise Richards was in The World is Not Enough

The new Casino Royale, coming out the end of this year will be one of the best Bond films of the most recent era IMO. Although compared to the original Casino Royale and any film is good Im not mocking it, I like it however it isn't a true James Bond film

:lol!:... Thanks for that Queenslander.. haven't watched it ages... I might watch it when I get home though... :satan:

I agree it's not a true James Bond Film, but I just thought for its time, it was a good film... here's hoping the 2006 version does it justice....

Be interesting to see what type of Bond Daniel Craig is, apparently he is more dashing and a return to a more Connery like Bond, which can only be a good thing...

Ok I see where the Connery resemblance is coming from

Check this picture out from Wikipedia of Craig from Casino Royale

And then this one of Connery as Bond

It's like Connery Mark II... :lol!:
