Shane Watson and Stuart MacGill have been called into the Australian team for Friday's one-off Johnnie Walker Super Series Test against the World XI at the SCG.
The changes from the final Ashes Test at The Oval see Watson come in for Damien Martyn while MacGill takes the spot of the injured Shaun Tait. Brad Hodge, yet to make his Australian Test debut, is 12th man.
Watson all but secured his promotion to the Test team with a pair of Man of the Match performances in the one-day international series against the World XI in Melbourne last week.
His only previous Test appearance was also at the SCG, against Pakistan, earlier this year. He made 31 in Australia's innings and had figures of 0-28 and 1-32.
That was also the last Test which MacGill played in, having been on the Ashes Tour but failing to get in the Test team. The 34-year-old has taken 40 wickets in six previous Tests at the ground.
