Maori Win Second Test
Aaron Heremaia scored two tries to help the New Zealand Maori team beat Cook Islands 30-14 in their rugby league match at Rugby Park in Gisbourne last night.
The Tawera Nikau-coached NZ Maori scored five tries to three but only took charge of the game in the second half after the Kevin Iro-coached Cooks led 14-12 at the break.
NZ Maori 30 (Aaron Heremaia 2, Thomas Gemmell, Nathan Hohaia, Tawhio Davis tries; Richard Retimana 5 goals), Cooks Islands 14 (Turori Matupu, Nathan Ford, Brian Thomas tries; M Mitchell goal). Halftime: 12-14.
Under 18: Cook Island 38 NZ Maori 34.
Cook Islands for their tiny pop have done amazingly well.

Aaron Heremaia played for the bears this year and looked the goods. But he signed to go over to england the other day...big loss for rugby league here coz he had alot of potential.
