Ahh yes he will be a captain, he has great leadership skills and what the how is he a thug please enlighten me.

As for its not what canterbury stands for how can you say that he does a lot of work off the field which gets unoticed by the media and the fans sure he has stuffed up in the past but thats all behind him now.

Shhsh ill tell ya a secret when Darren Lockyer retires he is apparently the heir to the thrown for the Australian Captaincy.

You wouldnt know because you havent experience FG football yet.
You are a Future Star, Will is a current Star.
He has great leadership qualities and is a very inspirational player.

Also enlighten me to how he is a thug?
Please, When you are going to call someone a thug, Provide evidence.
Also, If you are so smart (if), What does canterbury stand for if Will doesnt stand for the same thing?

BTW, I just want to add I don't see we need to change the captain. I love the job Bobcat is doing, and Willie Mason fires the boys up anyway and leads them anyway, he doesnt need the extra pressure added onto him with a (c) beside his name.

You are dead set joking if you think that Willie Mason is not captain material. I will lay London to a brick that Willie WILL captain both the Bulldogs and Australia. As for being a thug i assume that you are referring to the latest test match against the poms. IF ANY AUSSIE LAID ONE ON A POM 10 OR 20 YEARS AGO HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A NATIONAL HERO. Now people like yourself call them thugs. By the way, i notice that on your sig you have a pic of Adrian Morley, now theres a REAL THUG, probably one of the the dirtiest players to ever play in the NRL, with one of the worst records ever seen. He's obviously one of your hero's, and you have the hide to call Willie a thug!!!

Willie most definitely is captain material... he has passion and is starting to mature nicely... and he is starting to realise when to speak and when not to on the field... and as for what happened against GB, he was provoked into doing that, I mean it wasn't great but at least it shows the guy loves his country and values the game these days.

I think Willie though won't be captain yet, he still has to learn to control his emotions in terms of refs, last season he was a bit childish sometimes with the ref, and a captain can't do that... however in the future, I see Willie further maturing to be the Bulldogs captain and Australian Captain or Vice Captain some day...

Good move, i'd definately give captaincy to Payney, but Thursto has been preparing for it all year with an ongoing VC role and part of his contract was that he was made captain for '07-'10 anyway, so as much as i'd like to see PAyne with Captaincy, I don't think it'd happen...

until Willie learns to respect the other team instead of bad-mouthing them, I wouldnt want him as my captain, other peeps obviously have other opinions - and thats fine.

Hm I wonder who will be the vice captain this year, seeing as Grimmers has retired.
