Monday, July 31, 2006 - 5:07 PM
The Ergon Energy Brisbane Broncos have today contacted Brisbane Police with a view to carrying out a thorough investigation into an alleged incident in Brisbane last night, supposedly involving one of its players.
The club has been made aware of this allegation by a third party, and Broncos managing director Bruno Cullen has vowed to examine all reports in respect of player behaviour.
?No formal complaint has been forthcoming, and because of that fact the club is alarmed to have been made aware of this accusation today,? Mr Cullen said.
?However, we will be thoroughly examining all information received before any further statement is made by the club. No-one should doubt the commitment of the Broncos in areas of player behaviour. The club is also very aware of its responsibility to maintain fair procedures for all parties.?
