Titans capture two more players

GOLD Coast yesterday secured the signatures of Parramatta centre Brett Delaney and South Sydney back rower Mark Minichiello for 2007.

And in another boost to the Titans' impressive build-up as the NRL's 16th team next season, Sharks prop James Stosic also appears set to join the club.

Gold Coast coach John Cartwright last night hailed the key signatures as another step in the right direction for the fledgling NRL outfit.

"We've got young fellas who are 20, 21, 22 years old, and we've also got some good real hard-heads in the right positions," Cartwright said.

"There's a good mix here and (Minchiello's) experienced enough to be one of the leaders in the team."

With Delaney heading north of the border next season, the Sharks are now expected to sign North Queensland centre Josh Hannay.

Brisbane rookie Fraser Anderson met the Sharks yesterday while the Broncos have dropped out of the race for Nate Myles.

Very big lad who plays at the Sharks. Only played around 8 games this year (his debut season) but has gone pretty good so far. Would not be a bad pick up at all.

Good signings Delaney should do well. He can play centre and also the back row and a good goal kicker, so he is a handy player to have. Minichiello isnt that great of a player although he is a good worker and will add depth to the backrow.
