    The Administrators and Moderator team are not paid to do what they do, let's clear that up right now. They are members here on their own accord making sure the forum is running smoothly ensuring the forum's integrity and/or security is not compromised.

    As a member of this forum you will adhere to decisions/instructions made by an Administrator, Super Moderator or Moderator.

    1.0.2 Administrator (Admin)
    The Admin team is responsible for the everyday running of the forum. If required, they have the final say on any matter posed on this forum.

    [b]1.0.3 Super Moderator (SMod)
    The Super Moderator of the forum has more access and permissions to certain aspects of the forum and when Admin is absent, he/she will be responsible for the final say on matters the moderator team are not able to agree on. Another point of contact for moderators and members alike.

    1.0.4 Moderator (Mod)
    So often described as the 'eyes and ears' of any forum, nothing changes here. Moderators will ensure members are adhering to the Forum Guidelines and keep discussion on track. The have the ability to edit, close or move threads/posts by members.

    2.0.1 - How to register?

    When visiting the site, you will see at the top of forum there is a 'register' option. All you do is click there and follow the instruction. An e-mail will be sent to your inbox which you need then process to follow the link to activate your account. It will also confirm your user name and password. Do not give these details to out, if Admin are aware you have shared your login details, the case will be looked at with a possible banning or suspension put in place.

    Administrators will overlook a free e-mail address on a case by case basis if need be.

    2.0.2 - I forgot my password, what can I do?

    When logging on, you will see an 'I forgot my password' link. Follow the instruction and a new password will be created; the e-mail sent will contain details on how to activate it.

    Questions can be forwarded to diehardtitan@gmail.com

    3.0 - What we won't accept from members

    3.0.1 - General Posting on this forum
    Use your common sense and there will be no problem. For those lacking in the common sense department, any post littered with any of the following will not be tolerated:

    * Overly vulgar
    * Threatening members with violence
    * Overly abusive,
    * Overly obscene
    * Slanderous or defaming,
    * Hateful or racist posts
    * Threatening members with violence
    * Sexually-oriented in nature
    * Any other post that may be in violation of any applicable laws.
    * Any other post that may unfairly reflect poorly on the Titans or Rugby League.
    * Trolling
    * Promotion of websites and products without permission.

    Remember that what may or may not offend you may offend others.

    Admin will not allow a bruised ego from the real world to come on here and attempt in becoming the clich?d 'forum tough guy' to fill something missing in their everyday lives. If you feel the need to bully members, visit another forum or take it up with myself. The forum is for those interested in discussing Rugby League without fear of being "bullied" as one does not agree with his/her opinion. Constant bullying of one member will dealt with by Moderator team and in cases where the member is ignoring the warning it will be referred to the Admin team (see 5.0.0 Banning or suspending members).

    3.0.2 - Abusing the Private Message (PMs) feature
    Members will not post a PM from another member without his or her permission on the open forum. The same guidelines as per ‘3.0.1 General Posts’ apply to members when sending a PM to another member. Any PM deemed inappropriate in anyway is to be reported to diehardtitan@gmail.com. Admin will investigate all reported PMs and take appropriate action on a case by case basis. Reporting false claims against a member will lead to instant banning.

    3.0.3 - Legal Definitions to be aware of as a member

    Defamation
    Defamation, sometimes called "defamation of character", is spoken or written words that falsely and negatively reflect on a living person's reputation.

    If a person or the news media says or writes something about you that is understood to lower your reputation, or that keeps people from associating with you, defamation has occurred. Slander and libel are two forms of defamation.

    Slander
    Slander is a spoken defamation.

    Libel
    Libel is a written defamation. Generally, radio and television broadcasts that are defamatory are considered to be libel, rather than slander.

    - Visit Free Advice for more information where you are able to post on their forum

    3.0.4 - Editing Posts
    If you’re quoting a member, you quote what they posted and will not edit the original post. This is a forum no-no on most forums, it applies here as well.

    If a member has posted what the Mod or Admin team deem inappropriate or going against the forum guidelines covered in 3.0.1, the post will be edited.

    3.0.5 - Hijacking a thread/Baiting members
    Friendly banter between opposing points of view is allowed (even encouraged) but the forums are primarily here for the enjoyment of all members. Excessive posting aimed solely at disrupting threads may result in post deletions. This requires moderator discretion but in basic terms, any member who continually creates disruptions to threads will be advised to cease with their activity. Failure to comply with this advice will result in an expulsion warning or immediate suspension.

    3.0.6 - Members playing forum cop
    Sometimes members can't help themselves and feel it necessary to go on a rampage in an attempt to mould the forums into their own 'oasis'. Please note that Admin take a dim view of members who feel they are the 'forum cop' and try to represent themselves as such. The proper channel for complaints is through a Mod or an Admin via private message (PM), who will then deal with the query.

    3.07- Sourcing material
    It is important that members provide a source to back up any claims. Any posted material without a source (URL or published reference) may be removed.

    Remember that all allegations remain allegations and that we exercise the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.

    Please note that repeating overheard conversations, or something you heard ‘from a mate’ is not considered to be a ‘reliable source’. Rumours and innuendo are not proof and any such speculation will be edited or deleted.

    3.0.8 - Members advertising
    Advertising in signature files, avatars or profiles requires the permission of the Titans Forum Admin team. This includes names or location with a website address as well as banners and links in signature files or avatars.
    Requests for permission should be sent by email to: diehardtitan@gmail.com

    Each request will be considered on its own merits and depending on circumstances. This is totally at the discretion of the site owners.

    Should someone advertise without permission, the advertisement will be removed.

    ADMIN TIP:Members who are reported to be spamming via the PM function will have the PM ability removed as well as have their membership reviewed which may lead to immediate suspension or immediately banned.

    4.0.0 - What we will accept from members

    4.0.1 - Freedom of speech
    The Titans Forum Admin will always make an effort to allow as much freedom of expression as possible. We do realise however that this will sometimes be put to the test.
    In basic terms, Mods will only delete text or images if they feel they have a good reason to do so.
    1.) Mods will not delete text which is simply part of a heated debate (with both sides giving back what they receive)
    2.) Mods will not delete anything simply because the text or image holds an opinion contrary to their own.

    4.0.2 - Signatures and Avatars
    Each member has the option of placing a text or image signature at the end of each of their posts. BUT the image sig files have to be within acceptable dimensions.

    Sig file limits
    Text size of font: 1 to 3.
    Maximum 255 characters.
    Maximum 100 characters without space. Maximum 12 lines.
    Image Sig file size: maximum 500 (width) x 150 (height) pixels.
    Maximum 120Kbs.
    Members will be limited to 2 images per sig file

    Avatar limits
    Maximum 80 (width) x 80 (height) pixels.
    Maximum 20Kb.
    Titans Forum Admin at its discretion, may remove or edit any signature file or avatar without notification. These include text, links or images which do not meet with the approval of Administration.

    If any member has a query about a proposed sig file or avatar, please feel free to email admin on diehardtitan@gmail.com dor by PM'ing Admin.

    5.0.0 - Banning or suspending members

    5.0.1 - Banning or suspending members
    Now, this section does not apply to the vast majority of members. We don't like removing members but sometimes it's unavoidable. Please note that only Admin have the ability to suspend or ban members. Mods cannot ban members.

    Admin have a simple philosophy of giving people every chance to settle in; but in some cases, we have to issue expulsion warnings or if necessary, immediate suspension.

    The general rule of thumb is one expulsion warning prior to a member having their access removed. However, Admin are under no obligation to issue warnings and may at their discretion, ban members without notice.

    Removing access comes in two forms:

    1.) Suspension: This is where the member will not be able to access the forum for a pre-determined amount of time that has been decided upon by the Titans Forum Admin team.
    2.) Total banning: This is where the member has had his or her access permantly denied and will not be able to contribute to the forum.

    This also applies to any other names the suspended or banned member may have registered under. It also applies to any other member's account that may be used to access the forums.

    APPEALS: If a member wishes to appeal their deactivation / profile deletion / banning, they only have to send us an email to diehardtitan@gmail.com

    5.0.2 - What might warrant a suspension from the forum?
    Each incident that is referred to the Titans Forum Admin team will be dealt with on a case by case basis. Listed here are just a few examples of what may lead to a suspension from the forum:
    - Blatant refusal by member to adhere to Administrator or Moderator instruction on a specific forum matter or topic
    - Depending on the severity, any post that touches on anything listed in section 3.0.1
    - Continual spamming on the open forum or via PM
    - Failure to adhere to the advertising guidelines as per section 3.0.7

    5.0.3 - What might warrant a suspension from the forum?
    Each incident that is referred to the Titans Forum Admin team will be dealt with on a case by case basis. Listed here are just a few examples of what may lead to a banning from the forum:
    - After first warning or suspension, blatant refusal by member to adhere to Administrator or Moderator instruction on a specific forum matter or topic
    - Any post that is excessively in violation of section 3.0.1
    - Any post, PM or e-mail that is deemed a bannable offence by Titans Forum Admin team
    - Multiple member screen-names

    Any questions please contact Admin team on diehardtitan@gmail.com or PM Admin member.

    These guidelines are a necessary evil in the forum world and serve as a guide for members as well as a tool for the Titans Forum Admin team to use when acting on forum specific issues that will inevitably arise.

    Thanks for your time, enjoy the forum.
