for the 2nd time for both deegan and Super cronk. it doesnt say anything about what im talking about in that article. a few weeks ago he demanded a reason for why he wanst included in the QLD team for origin 2. and this isn't the only reason why i dislike him. as ive also said is that i have read articles over the past 2yrs that also give me the opinion tha he is up himself. i didn't say you needed to agree with me as you proberly know more about the panther as i dont follow them at all.

if he has a absolute brilklient game then i may change my mind about him playing but Shif is the Best QLD FB available IMO

Not that it matters, though you said I didn't read it right in re: to the article originally posted. THEN you went on to tell us an article from "2 weeks ago" that I seriously cannot remember. Each to their own. It looks to me as if you have attempted to cover your tracks here twisting what you "really meant". Good stuff Reading the thread again, it is certainly open for interpretation - as far as I can see, I as cronk did, read it fine Next time I will do the jedi mind warrior thing when reading your posts Teegy so I "read it right"

cronk and I both believe Schifcofske is the best man for the job, as do quite a few in the rugby league community.

I would love to see this article "where he demanded too be picked" by Queensland selectors, it would make good reading.

Actually I tell a lie, I am not sure who cronk is pushing. Greg Inglis is the best candidate though he IMO should not be considered given the length of time out of the game.

i wasn't saying you didnt read the article right. i ment my post

the thing that really got me was his demending a reason for the selectors not picking him, no player is that certain of a spot in the team that they should be demading reasons for them not being selected. and over the years i have seen a few articles that display him in a negative light IMO
you asked why i dont respect him. fair enough i see you obviously hold rhys in high regard. thats your opinion and your entitled to it. the article about the 2nd SOO game is around and im sure with your knowledge of sports that you fill find it. you asked me why and i told you why i dislike him so that will be the end of it from my end.

No your right..i am pushing for Schifty aswell.

And Teegy....you dont think Wesser has a right to know why he isnt chosen? I think he has a right to know why he isnt being picked. The selectors should tell him plain and simple.."your not in good enough form". I dont know if he did "demand to know" in a rude manner...because i havent seen the article.

I dont see how this 1 game this weekend will change that tho...you cant come into "form" in only 1 week.

    HOLD ON>

I found this article...and if this is the one your talking about Teegy...you have it all wrong!

PENRITH officials are demanding that Queensland selectors contact Rhys Wesser to explain his omission from Origin II after the Maroons lost a battle to force Greg Inglis to fly from Melbourne for today's medicals and called in Super League-bound Adam Mogg.

After initially being advised by Queensland coach Mal Meninga that he was on stand-by for Brisbane centre Justin Hodges, 28-year-old Mogg was last night called up to become the injury-struck Maroons' ninth debutant in the series so far and will take Inglis's place on the wing.

Confirmation last night of the Canberra centre's selection followed a 24-hour stand-off between the Queensland Rugby League and the Storm over the fitness of Inglis, who was found on Monday to have a stress fracture in his lower back.

The Maroons believed Inglis's injury may have been manageable and refused to rule him out. But Melbourne officials insisted he would not be flying to Brisbane and the teenager was reluctant to play.

"I don't want to end up in a wheelchair, one bad knock and I could be out for three years. I just don't want to risk that," Inglis told a media conference in Melbourne. "It's disappointing to miss out on Origin but I'm just happy my name's been thrown into the squad, they're hungry to get me back up there but I'm trying to get myself right. Hopefully I'll have 10 years in this business and I don't want to go up there and risk losing two years."

Storm physiotherapist Mary Toomey said the Maroons medical staff would have to fly to Melbourne if they wanted to examine Inglis. In a statement last night, the QRL said: "It is understood he will be sidelined for a number of weeks due to the injury".

Mogg, who has signed a three-year deal with French Super League club Catalans, was named as Inglis's replacement to cap a meteoric rise from the Queensland Cup just four years ago.

But the snubbing of Wesser, who had been strongly rumoured to be the stand-by player for Inglis, angered the Panthers.

"If it was a specialist winger I can accept it, but they've left him out and they haven't put a specialist winger in there," Penrith chief executive Mick Leary said. "I think it'd be nice if the chairman of selectors [Des Morris] just rings him and says, 'This is why'. Just give some reason. I think they owe him that.

"I don't want to detract from Adam Mogg, who's doing a great job for Canberra, but Wesser has played State of Origin before, he's never let Queensland down, and if they want a winger - he's one of the fastest players in the NRL. It's baffling. Realistically, there's got to be some sort of explanation as to why he's not there. I don't know whether he's done something wrong or whether they think he's not up to it ? if they think that, they should tell him."

The panthers club "demanded". He didnt do it himself. Not unless there is another article.

Hes not in top form though, hes done bugger all this year, compared to other fullbacks. Hes had a couple of good games, thats it, not enough imo to pick someone like wesser.

I think Schifcofske should be given a shot at fullback.

I really can't agree with causing a song and dance about wesser not being picked out of position last game. the performances of hunt and mogg back up the selectors choices for sure.

What the hell has Slater done to deserve the gig ahead of Wessar?

Slater definately doesn't deserve a spot... he has played 20 minutes of top-grade footy in the past 10 weeks. Shif has been out there for the Raiders doing an exceptional job and deserves it. Wesser hasn't been crash hot IMO, but would deserve it more than Slater.

I agree that wesser isnt the best at the moment and if it werent for injury he shouldnt be in the side. there are better players than him around...
