Broncos recent record against the Warriors isn't too good, but I'm tipping Broncos because they are in awesome form

Rd 13 - Warriors v Broncos Preview
Wednesday, May 31, 2006 - 12:49 PM
Recent history will fortify the Warriors? confidence when they take on the competition leaders.
Form: The Warriors were a huge disappointment against Cronulla last Saturday night, especially after their high-quality 34-12 win over the premiers in their last match at Ericsson. Brisbane leapt to the top of the ladder when they downed the Bulldogs at Suncorp, their sixth win from their past seven games.
History: Warriors are a major bogey team for the Broncos, with six wins from the past eight meetings. The Warriors have beaten the Broncos in four of the past five clashes at Ericsson.
Danger sign: Tame ?Two-Tries? Tupou could wreak terror down the left flank for the Broncos. There are no half measures with Two-Tries ? it?s a double or nothing.
Best Bet? History says the Warriors, but form says the Broncos. Form wins ? take the Broncos at 1-12 in Margins betting.
Money-spinner: Look no further than Tupou. Put a dollar on him as First Tryscorer and another as Last Tryscorer and ride your luck for 80 minutes!

Haha its so true about Tupou.
Yea warriors are our bogey team, but I think this time we're more confident facing them then we have been before.

Warriors always seem to lift when they play the Broncos. So im tipping the warriors
Danger game for the Broncos as Rabs would say but I'm sticking with them. They'll need to bottle up the Warriors second phase which tested the Sharks at times last week. The Warriors have game breakers and if they can minimise their errors without losing their flamboyance they can beat anyone. The Broncos are going well at the moment, I just wish they could find a spot for Greg Eastwood - he makes my day! (just kidding) I reckon he's going to be a superstar in the next couple of years and I just hate seeing him miss with fillin blokes like Lacey and McGuire getting a run. The Broncs pack sure looks strong when you consider that Costigan and Eastwood aren't featuring in it and they would be stars off the bench in most other teams line-ups.
Geese are the ultimate team players.
They honk to encourage one another!
Webcke in doubt
Thursday June 01, 2006
Veteran Ergon Energy Broncos prop Shane Webcke failed to complete training this morning and is in doubt for the round 13 clash with the New Zealand Warriors in Auckland on Sunday.
An old back injury flared up yesterday and when he started training today he suffered spasms in the back. Webcke spent most of the session on the physio table and was in extreme discomfort when he left the club.
He will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness, but a three-hour flight from Brisbane to Auckland tomorrow evening is seen as a giant stumbling block.
Also in doubt is hooker Casey McGuire, who has still not fully recovered from a pectoral muscle tear, suffered against the Knights in round nine. Although he participated in all drills at this morning's season, he is no better than a 50-50 chance of travelling to New Zealand.
Broncos coach Wayne Bennett initially named a 19-man squad on Monday, and should both Webcke and McGuire be ruled out, Brett Seymour and Greg Eastwood are likely to travel to Auckland. Coming in to the side to start will more than likely be Brad Thorn (prop) and Ian Lacey (hooker).
Thorn and Tonie Carroll are the street corner tips to be rushed in to the Queensland side for State of Origin Two (June 14), and will both be looking for big games against the monster Warriors back. Origin One debutants, David Stagg and Sam Thaiday, will also be keen to impress after the Maroons forward back was outgunned by the Blues in Sydney.
The Broncos go to Auckland with an impressive overall record against the Warriors, but one that has not been good in recent seasons. In fact the Warriors have beaten the Broncos in five of their past six starts, with the Broncos not winning in Auckland since 2000, the year of their last premiership.
Sunday's match will be a homecoming of sorts for a number of Broncos players. Ex-pat Kiwis Karmichael Hunt, Tame Tupou, Tonie Carroll, Brad Thorn and possibly Greg Eastwood will be making the trip 'home'. And making their first appearance for the Broncos at Ericsson Stadium will be Tupou, Darius Boyd, Shane Perry, Ben Hannant, Ian Lacey and Eastwood.

Webke will play IMO. he doesn't want to miss a game in his farewell year
didnt he miss a game or two a few weeks ago?Originally Posted by Teegy
im not sure but thats why e made the early return las week cause he wants to play as many as he can
Well if he plays on and causes more serious injury then he wont play agian this year. Better to miss a few weeks and play out the year then play on and cause bad injury and miss your farewell year.Originally Posted by Teegy
Exactly. WEbcke may want to play, but it'll be up to Bennett, who wont want to push Webcke into a game when he should be resting.Originally Posted by super cronk

Brisbane has been rocked by powerhouse prop Shane Webcke and hooker Casey McGuire withdrawing from Sunday's NRL clash against New Zealand Warriors due to injury. Webcke has succumbed to a back complaint while McGuire has been ruled out with a pectoral injury but are expected to be fit for next weekend.
Brad Thorn moves from the bench to replace Webcke in the front row and reserve Ian Lacey slots in at hooker for McGuire.
