Perry, McGuire in doubt or Broncos

INJURED Brisbane halfback Shane Perry's efforts to play against Manly this weekend could be thwarted by the club's medical staff.
Perry wants to play despite scans confirming a partial tear to his posterior cruciate ligament.
He's been told he can play with the injury but advised it's better to take between two to four weeks off and give the injury time to fully heal.
At 28, Perry is understandably reluctant to miss one game, let alone three or four after getting his big chance when coach Wayne Bennett axed young halfback Brett Seymour last month against Sydney Roosters.
Perry has not been ruled out of Saturday night's round 10 NRL clash against the Sea Eagles but it's likely coach Wayne Bennett will have the final say later in the week.
Seymour, who's been working on certain aspects of his game with the Toowoomba Clydesdales in the Queensland Cup, trained at halfback again today and is expected to start against Manly star Matt Orford.
Perry is not Brisbane's only serious injury concern with hooker Casey McGuire unlikely to play because of a torn pectoral muscle which is causing him a lot pain and discomfort.
Shaun Berrigan, who was relegated from starting centre to the bench this weekend for international Brent Tate, ran at hooker today and is an obvious No.9 replacement having played there previously.
