I doubt Des will swing the axe just yet except maybe Weaver, especially if Tino and Difita aren’t ready.

I wouldn’t have either Kini or JC starting, possibly JC on the bench but really he will be underdone … we need to get rid of the “we are a great attacking team” bs because we are not. We need toilers like Jojo in the centers and dare I type it Maumalo on the wing. If it was me:

Despite tonight, I still haven't given up on AJ at 4.

Stimmo would be a good addition in the 17 - probably a must for us now.

@MT I just feel the bench is where we bring players through and we have too many so Francis whose defence is questionable perches on Sami’s shoulder. Maumalo is a specialist left wing.

Maumalo is done fellas, He's way to slow and unathletic, He does get some pcm but that's it, He looks so lethargic and his defence is shocking. Francis defence better even if it isn't great, He actually hits someone unlike Maumalo is way to often left in no mans land.

It's one of the dumbest buys of all time because we got sold someone who's injuries have broke him by the wooden spooners who we tried to move on basically the day he came.... He still gets his metres and does his thing but he's a shell of what he was.

Francis is a better young him imo without the aerial threat right now I think but he's what we need.

Just saw tino and foz at the airport. I will be surprised if either are playing next week. Tino said he has had scans but it's not looking good. He's on crutches.

Just on the Francis thing and what we need right now is probably spot imo.
With these last couple of games I've watch our forward pack get very fatigued and our backs are trying to come in and take some load but they are just way to small and get monstered and we make very little yardage which just compounds the situation and it all BLOWS up.

Not a bad shout. I'm probably dropping Beau for Alick though. I'd also be interested in a AJ 6 Foran 7 halves combination with JC at the back and Kini on the bench.

I think our best halves option long term is probably AJ 6 and JC 7 unless Weaver shows out.

Foran needs to start helping out with our last tackle kicking options or he's a liability. You can't carry a non kicking 6 if your hooker doesnt kick, particularly one that isn't a threat to break the line with his running game.

With the new blocking interpretations the kickers are under more pressure than ever and you need some variety and multiple options. Also some crisp passing from the 9 helps.

We haven’t seen anything that approaches an NRL first grade effort yet.
That’s why I can’t be bothered pointing the finger too much or tinkering with the team.

It’s the MINI GF.
Let’s see a proper nasty effort.
Then we can judge these clowns properly.

One thing though I’m convinced of is that Boyd is done as a top 17 player.
Get games into Weaver now and invest in him to be our half for a decade.
