    Jai Billish continued at hooker for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the CC Cup against the Norths Devils with Jai Billish scoring the first of his two tries in the 48th minute when aftger passing the ball to his right to Taj Lateo fifteen metres from the try line, Jai Billish backed up his halfback to get the ball back nine metres out to score nine metres to from the right corner post.

    Jai Billish completed his double in the 52nd minute when he grounded the ball five metres to the right of the goal posts after chasing through a Taj Lateo grubber kick.

    Jai Billish made a line break in just the 2nd minute of the match when whilst defending three metres out from his own try line and to the left of the goal posts Jai Billish demonstrated his hand eye co-ordination to take a low hard Norths attacking kick on the full with Jai Billish then able to get the ball to the thirty metre mark with Jai Billish stepping off his left foot to beat one cover defender before being tackled ten metres from the halfway mark.

    Jai Billish made his initial run out of dummy half to his right in the 9th minute to run the ball from thirty metres out from his own try line to forty three metres out.

    Jai Billish’s performance saw him named at hooker in the Courier Mail MM Cup Round Three Team of the Week.

    Ryder Williams continued at five eight for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the MM Cup against the Norths Devils with Ryder Williams making the third hit-up of the match to get the ball from twenty five metres from his own try line to thirty seven metres out after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half.

    In the 38th minute Ryder Williams ran the ball to the left of the play the ball down a short blindside from sixteen metres out and was able to get within a metre of scoring seven metres in from the left corner post. Then in the 39th minute from the left of the play the ball once again Ryder Williams ran himself from the halfway mark to thirty eight metres from the try line.

    Ryder Williams also did well in the 3rd minute when whilst defending on the left side of the field and just four metres from his own try line Ryder Williams did well to react quickly and take a low hard flat Norths kick just to his left on the full.

    Junior Filimaua continued at right second row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the MM Cup against the Norths Devils with Junior Filimaua coming close to scoring in the 57th minute when after receiving a great held up pass from his left from Zane Harrison sixteen metres from the try line, Junior Filimaua burst through two tackles and after being brought to ground a metre out Junior Filimaua tried to roll over the try line after not being held only to be held up mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

    In the 32nd minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball Junior Filimauau made nine metres before being awarded a penalty after being hit in a high tackle and then from the restart Junior Filimaua carried the ball to twenty six metres from the try line.

    Junior filimaua from the left of a Tweed Heads penalty restart in the 37th minute cut back towards the area behind the markers from thirty metres to twenty eight metres but with his back towards the try line Junior Filimaua got his left arm free and got an off-load away to Corey Pearce.

    Junior Filimaua completed a strong match in the 54th minute with a charge from the left of the play the ball from forty metres from his try line to the halfway mark before being awarded a penalty for being hit in another high tackle with Junior Filimaua making a further ten metres from the penalty restart.

    Jack Hudson continued at hooker for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the MM Cup against the Norths Devils with Jack Hudson recording a try assist in the 15th minute when from a play the ball five metres from the try line Jack Hudson ran out of dummy half to his right and after dummying once to an inside runner, Jack Hudson passed the ball back inside to a second inside runner being Jack Schmidt who crashed over to score nine metres to the left of the goal posts.

    Jack Hudson came close to scoring himself in the 57th minute when he ran out of dummy half to his left from a metre from the try line but was held up five metres in from the left corner post. Two minutes earlier in the 55th minute Jack Hudson ran out of dummy half to his right from twenty metres out with Jack Hudson getting to within five metres of the try line however Jack Hudson’s pass to his right was knocked down by the Devils defender.

    Zane Harrison continued at halfback and captain for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the MM Cup in Round Three against the Norths Devils with Zane Harrison kicking five conversions from six attempts. Zane Harrison kicked his initial conversion in the 8th minute to convert Tyson Ploegsma’s long range try from seven metres to the left of the goal posts with Zane Harrison’s second conversion coming from the almost identical spot in the 14th minute to convert Jack Schmidt’s try.

    Zane Harrison’s final three conversions were in relation to converting Zac Kumbamong’s hat trick with the first coming in the 50th minute from four metres to the left of the goal posts. That was followed by a conversion from in front of the gaol posts in the 57th minute and then from ten metres to the left of the goal posts in the 61st minute.

    Zane Harrison also recorded a line break assist in the 57th minute when from the left of the play the ball Zane Harrison took the ball deep into the defensive line before throwing a great delayed pass to his left to Junior Filimaua who burst between two defenders only to be held up over the try line. Zane Harrison however paid for his ball playing when he was hit from behind late with the referee bringing the play back over Junior Filimaua was held up to award Zane Harrison a penalty.

    Zane Harrison’s performance saw him receive a special mention in relation to the Courier Mail MM Cup Round Three Team of the Week.

    Jack Schmidt continued in the front row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the MM Cup against the Norths Devils with Jack Schmidt scoring in the 15th minute when Jack Schmidt cut underneath Jack Hudson who had run out of dummy half to his right with Jack Schmidt receiving the ball five metres out and crashing over to score nine metres to the left of the goal posts.

    Earlier Jack Schmidt had taken the 2nd minute of the match from the right of the play the ball to get the ball from ten metres from his own try line to twenty six metres out. In the 12th minute from a kick-off return Jack Schmidt was able to get the ball to the twenty three metre mark then a tackle later Jack Schmidt made a further sixteen metres to get the ball to the halfway mark.

    Jack Schmidt in the 53rd minute from the left of the play the ball was able to get the ball from eighteen metres from the try line to thirty metres out. Then in the 55th minute from the right of the play the ball Jack Schmidt cut inside to run onto an underneath ball from Zane Harrison to carry the ball from forty five metres to within thirty two metres of the try line.

    Jack Schmidt, in the 57th minute with a good run from a Tweed Heads penalty tap with Jack Schmidt getting the ball from seventeen metres from the try line to three metres out and in front of the left goal post. Jack Schmidt completed his strong match in the 60th minute with a hit-up to the right of the play the ball with Jack Schmidt running the ball through the centre of the field from twenty metres out to get within a metre from the ty line in front of the right goal posts with four defenders unable to get Jack Schmidt to the ground.

    Jack Schmidt’s performance saw him named in the front row in the Courier Mail MM Cup Round Three Team of the Week.

    Zac Kumbamong continued from the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Three of the MM Cup against the Norths Devils and put in a player of the match performance to lead Tweed Heads to a come from behind 34 – 24 victory including Zac Kumbamong scoring three powerhouse second half tries to lead the fight Seagulls back.

    Zac Kumbamong scored the first of his three tries in the 50th minute as a result of a powerful charge from ten metres out and to the left of the play the ball with Zac Kumbamong breaking a tackle to crash over to score four metres to the left of the goal posts.

    Zac Kumbamong scored his second try in the 57th minute as a result of Zac Kumbamong running an impressive inside shoulder lien to the left of the play the ball and after receiving the ball Zac Kumbamong charged seven metres to crash through a number of attempted tackles at score under the posts.

    Zac Kumbamong completed his impressive hat trick in the 61st minute when after receiving the ball whilst stationary from his right eighteen metres out from the try line, Zac Kumbamong immediately charged slightly to his left towards the try line and broke three tackles and carried three more defenders over the try line to score ten metres to the left of the goal posts to give the Seagulls the lead and complete the comeback after Tweed Heads had fallen behind in the match 24 – 12 after leading 12 – 0.

    After coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 14th minute Zac Kumbamong ran onto the ball to the left of the play the ball and carry the ball from fifteen metres out from his own try line to twenty eight metres out. Then in the 51st minute Zac Kumbamong made a good kick-off return with Zac Kumbamong running over the top of one defender as he got the ball out to the twenty metre mark. The 59th minute then saw Zac Kumbamong carry the ball from the left of the play the ball from twenty eight metres from his own try line to within ten metres of the halfway mark.

    Zac Kumbamong’s performance saw him named in the front row in the Courier Mail MM Cup Round Three Team of the Week.

    Jimmy McCombie started at halfback for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Jimmy McCombie scoring in the 56th minute with Jimmy McCombie backing up a lien break by Robert Smith from inside Northern Rivers territory with received the ball from a great right arm flick off-load from Robert Smith and as a result Jimmy McCombie had a fort metre run to score under the posts untouched.

    Jimmy McCombie also recorded the first of his two line break assists in the 10th minute when from the left of the play the ball and deep inside his own territory Jimmy McCombie threw a cut-out pass to his left to Elliott Farrell who was able to make a twenty metre line break down the left touchline. Jimmy McCombie paid for taking the ball deep into the defensive line before throwing the pass with Jimmy McCombie hit from behind after releasing the ball.

    Jimmy McCombie added his second line break assist in the 65th minute when from the right of the play the ball and around twenty three metres from the try line Jimmy McCombie ran the ball to the defensive line before throwing an inside pass to fullback Kai Saric who was able to get within five metres of the try line as a result of Jimmy McCombie’s deceptive inside pass.

    Elliott Farrell started at left centre for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Elliott Farrell making a line break in the 10th minute down the left touchline from twenty eight metres from his own try line to four metres inside North Coast territory after receiving a cut-out pass from his inside from Jimmy McCombie.

    In the 34th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half and breaking a tackle Elliott Farrell as able to run the ball on a yardage carry from seven metres from his own try line out to the twenty metre mark. Then in the 43rd minute from the right of a Northern Rivers scrum win and eight metres inside Titans territory Elliott Farrell was able to force his way five metres into Bulldogs territory.

    Kaleb Smith started from the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs and after coming onto the field late in the first half to operate in the dummy half role Kaleb Smith scored in the 38th minute as a result of a run out of dummy half to his left with Kaleb Smith darting over to score from four metres out to get the ball down seven metres to the left of the goal posts.

    Noah Waldock started on the left wing for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Noah Waldock running onto the ball in the 2nd minute from the right of the play the ball to get the ball out to the twenty seven metre mark after commencing his yardage carry twelve metres out from his own try line.

    Noah Waldock also made a good yardage carry in the 16th minute from the right of the play the ball to get the ball from twenty to thirty three metres out. Then in the 22nd minute after receiving a long, high cut-out pass from his inside and after collecting the ball on the first bounce Noah Waldock cut back inside off his wing twenty two metres out and as a result Noah Waldock was able to get within four metres of the try line.

    Noah Waldock then did well in the 65th minute with a strong run to the left of the play the ball in the 65th minute to carry the ball from his thirty metre mark to within seven metres of the halfway mark.

    Saifiti Junior Saifiti started on the right wing for the Ipswich Jets in Round Four of the MM Cup against the Wide Bulls with Saifiti Junior Saifiti scoring twenty two points from a try and nine conversions from twelve attempts in a big Jets victory with Saifiti Junior Saifiti kicking his first conversion in the 14th minute from four metres in from the left touchline, with Saifiti Junior Saifiti’s best conversion coming in the 18th minute from the left touchline.

    Saifiti Junior Saifiti scored in the 21st minute when he ran out of dummy half to his left from two metres out to force his way over to score six metres in from the right corner post.

    In just the 4th minute of the match from the right of the play the ball Saifiti Junior Saifiti broke two tackles as he carried the ball from twenty three metres out from his own try line to the forty metre mark with the speed of Saifiti Junior Saifiti’s run catching the Wide Bay defence in an off-side position to win a penalty for the Jets.

    The 34th minute saw Saifiti Junior Saifiti pick up a Bulls kick-off on the bounce near the right touchline on the twenty metre mark with Saifiti Junior Saifiti running straight over the top of two defenders to get the ball out to the thirty seven metre mark. Then in the 46th minute to the right of the play the ball but on the left side of the field Saifiti Junior Saifiti broke a tackle to get the ball from eight metres inside his own territory to four metres into Wide Bay territory. A minute later in the 47th minute Saifiti Junior Saifiti ran onto the ball to the left of the dummy half and was able to get the ball to within six metres of the try line after breaking a tackle and commencing his run eighteen metres out.

    The 49th minute then saw Saifiti Junior Saifiti receive a pass from his fullback from his left during a kick return in the centre of the field and sixteen metres from his own try line with Saifiti Junior Saifiti then running the ball through the centre of the field to the thirty eight metre mark. Then a tackle later after running out of dummy half to his right Saifiti Junior Saifiti was able to get the ball from six metres inside his own territory to twelve metres into Wide Bay territory.

    Saifiti Junior Saifiti completed a strong match in the 68th minute with a run from the right of the play the ball to get the ball from thirty eight metres out from his own try line to four metres into Wide Bay territory.
