This Tweed side looks really poor

Jojo def bigger & stronger than last year. He’s carrying well. All yardage stuff though - this team doesn’t even look likely to get themselves into good ball

I'm understanding why getting our own reserve grade team is so important watching stuff like this, It's hard to tell if Jojo and the others are actually getting better because the team sucks. I haven't watched a lot of him but Oskar has impressed me with his attacking game.

I'm guessing Francis is hurt.

I agree AJ at 6 and JC at 7 is likely our best long term bet. Both are instinctual players that can play to a structure and/or pop up anywhere when the time is right and be a genuine threat. They both will concern defensive decision makers at first receiver and will compress and stress the C defender/edge defense around them with their agility, accelaration and ability to play what's in front of them. This should result in better good ball opportunities and space for our OB's.

Obviously the kicking game wouldn't be a strength but Jayden has a big boot at least and I believe the other elite attributes they possess would more than make up for any minor shortcoming in that area. It's not like we have any other elite kicking options anyway haha.

I think we all agree the less Tanah Boyd the better.

Jaylan starting on wing (he'll switch in and out of fb), HSS + Schoupp centres, Maumalo wing, Pahulu starting prop, Foran & Hau edge backrowers, Stimson lock.

Train and trialists Coghill & Foxwell in halves, Penquitt starting prop.

Bench looks pretty weak, halves need to step up more than they did last week to get the W today.
