The current nrl admin are busily on the bones of the arl and by consequence the NSWRL

They keep all their refs in Sydney etc

I might sound like a crackpot but I firmly believe there has always been an agenda from league central against the Gold Coast but they need the Gold Coast to keep up junior pathways and as a bulwark against afl

Think about the dumb decisions they made when they took the club over for that 3 year period. Sacking Henry instead of Hayne and ruining our gritty blue collar culture which we have only just started to get back etc and now the same people are in the game ops departments and we get dudded with calls the big clubs wouldn’t 4 weeks in a row

Like we can shoot ourselves in the foot but league central make sure to refill the chamber so we can keep doing it

It goes all the way back to the days when the Coast was the retirement and/or holiday place of choice for the Sydney RL white shoe brigade. Just a good excuse to go to the beach. Eventually we’ll prove them wrong.

Yep Brent Todd was pretty honest about why he wanted to come to the Coast…and it sure wasn’t for the footy!

    NRL.com's Round 21 preview: Titans v Roosters
    https://www.titans.com.au/news/2023/...ns-v-roosters/

Sitting 12th and 14th on the ladder the Titans and Roosters are fast running out of time to start a charge towards the finals.

Both sides sit on 20 competition points with seven games to play and the loser of Saturday afternoon's clash on the Gold Coast faces a monumental task to try and make the eight.

Having won just two of eight away games in 2023 and conceding 22 points per match, the Roosters will be wary of a Titans outfit capable of producing tries from anywhere on the back of the brilliance of AJ Brimson, Jayden Campbell and rookie sensation Alofiana Khan-Pereira.

Boasting 17 tries in 16 games, Khan-Pereira needs just one more four-pointer to set a new club record for most tries in a season, the 21-year-old's speed and finishing skills sure to have the Roosters on high alert.

Another man on the verge of breaking a club record is prolific Roosters flyer Daniel Tupou, who bagged a double against the Storm to draw level with the great Anthony Minichiello on 139 tries for the foundation club.

    Team News
Titans: Skipper Tino Fa'asuamaleaui will miss the next three games after taking an early guilty to a shoulder charge on Reagan Campbell-Gillard so Isaac Liu will play prop and Erin Clark starts at lock. Maroons rep AJ Brimson returns to the No.1 jersey after being rested on Sunday so Jayden Campbell reverts to an impact role off the bench. Forward Joe Stimson returns after missing the Eels game due to concussion.

Roosters: The return of skipper James Tedesco at fullback, after he was rested in Round 20, means Joey Manu moves to the centres and Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii shifts back to the wing. Junior Pauga is the man to make way. Jake Turpin retains the starting hooker role, with Brandon Smith set to come off the bench again after making his injury return last week. Terrell May is the new face on the bench after Naufahu Whyte suffered a knee injury in the loss to the Storm.

    Stat Attack
    • The Roosters have scored 278 points at an average of 16 points per game. Ater 20 rounds last year they had scored 453 points at 23ppg.
    • Titans youngster Alofiana Khan-Pereira is third in the NRL for line breaks with 22, behind only Ronaldo Mulitalo (24) and Alex Johnston (24).
    • The Titans have not beaten the Roosters at Cbus Super Stadium since 2016.
    • The Roosters have won their past nine games against the Titans.
    • Titans forward David Fifita will make his 100th NRL appearance.

Gonna miss this because I’ll be in the air on my way to Oz. But I’ll be able to attend a few Titans games. Thank god. Good luck boys.

They’ve clearly identified some defensive deficiencies in and around Haas, and are exploiting it. Could be a long day unless somethings done quickly to stop the leak

Ref is the only thing keeping us in it at the moment. No go forward whatsoever and complete indecision from our Halves/Clarke.

Lucky Tanah Boyd's manager knows how good he is.
