Watching the Cows destroy the Tigers right now, should be sufficiently pickled by the time the Donkeys lose tonight.

Good side Blade07 but I'd have Haas on the bench and Alick on the left edge. Kini would be in the reserves but I'd have Jojo ahead of him at 18th man. I'd probably mix up the starting middles and bench a bit too so we don't lose too much when Liu and JJ go off.

Maybe it's time to play Stimo as purely a middle off the bench and if he has to rescue one of the young pups on the edge he can do that too.

Titans v Dolphins: Maroons stars out; JMK, Kaufusi in doubt
    https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/07/03/...fusi-in-doubt/

The last time these two sides met the Dolphins produced the equal biggest comeback in premiership history, claiming a 28-26 victory at Suncorp Stadium after trailing by 26 points during the first half.

The Titans have had four wins and four losses since in their ensuing eight games to sit in 10th spot while the Dolphins have gone 2-6 since that remarkable afternoon and find themselves four points outside the eight in 12th spot.

Back on their home turf, the Titans will be desperate to block the Round 8 capitulation from their minds and also bounce back from last weekend's close loss against the Raiders.

Interim coach Jim Lenihan will find it tough however, with his frontline forwards David Fifita, Moe Fotuaika and skipper Tino Fa'asuamaleaui all on Origin duty, as well as fullback AJ Brimson.

The Dolphins will have their most potent player Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow in Queensland camp so Kodi Nikorima will most likely line up in the No.1 as he did against the Broncos.

On Sunday, the Titans have a big day planned, with the Tweed Seagulls and Redcliffe Dolphins Hostplus Cup side playing in the Liam Hampson Cup as the curtain-raiser match, while there will also be an All Stars charity match between the Titans All Stars and Dolphins All Stars with funds being raised for injured Future Titans and Redcliffe Dolphins player, Joseph Pouniu.

    Team News
Titans: With skipper Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Moe Fotuaika and in-form back-rower David Fifita all on Origin duty for Queensland, as well as fullback AJ Brimson, the Titans will need to find some forwards to match it with the experienced Dolphins pack. Winger Phil Sami may also be in doubt with a hamstring complaint after he was a last-minute withdrawal from the team last weekend before the Raiders game. Livewire Jayden Campbell will slot in again at fullback where he performed well for the Titans while previously deputising for Brimson.

Dolphins: The Dolphins will be without fullback Hamiso Tabuia-Fidow this match with the star fullback in Queensland camp, with Kodi Nikorima set to line up in the No.1 jersey in his place again this week. Hooker Jeremy Marshall-King is touch-and-go with an ongoing shoulder problem, while forward Felise Kaufusi may also be in doubt after suffering a head knock early against the Broncos.

    Stat Attack
    • Following the conclusion on Round 18, Dolphins winger Jamayne Isaako is the leading pointscorer in the competition with 160 scored with 14 tries and 52 goals.
    • The Titans have won five of their past seven games at Cbus Super Stadium.
    • The Dolphins rallied from a 26-point deficit to beat the Titans in Round 8.
    • Titans halfback Tanah Boyd has kicked 24 goals from 26 attempts at Cbus Super Stadium in 2023.
    • Titans back-rower David Fifita is the team's equal leader for try assists with eight.
    • The Dolphins have conceded 160 points in their past four games.
    • Alofiana Khan-Pereira has scored five tries in five games at Cbus Super Stadium.

Since we lost last week every game from now is do or die. I really want us to make finals but if not, I want us to go down fighting. I want us to fight for 80 minutes for the next 9 weeks.

Alick getting his debut off the bench, good luck to him.

That bench is insane considering what happened last time, Randall and Clark as the bench props probably hahahhaahaha, Plan seems to run their older forwards around, Bold move. Is Jojo going to play in the middle?

I reckon Sami is still in doubt and either will drop out for Mikaele.

    https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/07/04/...ists-round-19/

Titans: Winger Phil Sami returns after being a late withdrawal from the Raiders game with a hamstring complaint so Jojo Fifita goes to the bench. Jayden Campbell is the new fullback with AJ Brimson on Maroons duty while Kleese Haas, Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui and Jaimin Jolliffe join the starting pack in place of Origin stars Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Moeaki Fotuaika and David Fifita. PNG Kumuls forward Jacob Alick has been named to make his NRL debut off the bench.

Dolphins: Euan Aitken moves to the centres with Hamiso Tabuia-Fidow on Origin duty and Kodi Nikorima lines up at fullback again as he did in Round 18. Hooker Jeremy Marshall-King has been named despite battling an ongoing shoulder problem but veteran forward Felise Kaufusi (concussion) is out. Jarrod Wallace and Anthony Milford both make their return from suspension on the bench while Herman Ese'ese moves into the starting side.

Round 19 team: PNG International earns NRL call up in history-making clash
    https://www.titans.com.au/news/2023/...-making-clash/

Jacob Alick is set to make his debut as Titan #186 in this Sunday's history-making clash against the Dolphins at Cbus Super Stadium.

In the Gold Coast's first-ever home contest against the NRL's newest franchise, the Papua New Guinea International has been named on the bench - one of four changes made by interim coach Jim Lenihan to replace the Maroons quartet who are on Origin duty this weekend.

Iszac Fa'asuamaleaui replaces his older brother Tino in the front row alongside Jaimin Jolliffe who will also start in place of Moeaki Fotuaika; meanwhile, a well-rested Klese Haas comes straight back in to fill David Fifita's spot on the edge.

Jayden Campbell will wear the No. 1 jersey with AJ Brimson earning a Queensland recall, opening the door for Jojo Fifita to remain in the 17 after an eleventh-hour call-up to play on the wing last Saturday, although Phil Sami is expecting to overcome last week's hamstring tightness that ruled him out in the warm-up against the Raiders and is expecting to start on the wing this weekend.

With both Fa'asuamaleaui and Brimson missing this weekend, Kieran Foran will assume captaincy duties for the Sunday afternoon showdown - the last of three big games commencing from 1.15pm.

I'll be very surprised if Jimmy goes with that starting 13. I'm also wondering about Haas on the left. Is that his preferred side and is he getting that spot ahead of Alick who likes it there? Or is it more smoke and mirrors from our Jimmy?

Or is Alick only going to get time as a middle? That'd seem wasteful.

Alick can play lock and did for pngs games at the World Cup so I would say he’d be lius replacement or liu goes back to prop to sure up there and alick / clarke rotate in lock

Mikaele was injured recently iirc? Maybe Jimmy is just being cautious and a late minute switch with jojo is on the cards

I woulda thought they’d swap Stimson and haas sides aswell, haas looks like a natural on the right but he’s played left at tweed aswell
