    Tony Francis started on the right wing in Round Six of the Queensland Cup against the PNG Hunters with Tony Francis scoring in the 9th minute when after receiving a good ball from his left from Keano Kini, Tony Francis had an eight metre run to cross the try line wide out on the right with Tony Francis then able to bring the ball seven metres closer to the goal posts.

    Tony Francis came close to scoring a second try in the 40th minute when he crashed through a Burleigh grubber kick into the in-goal but the referee ruled that Tony Francis had grounded the ball on the dead ball line and disallowed the try.

    Tony Francis also made a line break in the 18th minute when after receiving the ball twenty five metres out from his own try line Tony Francis raced down the right touchline before being tackled ten metres inside Hunters territory.

    Playing all eighty minutes of the match Tony Francis ran for 141 metres (thirty five post contact), made a team leading two line breaks, broke a tackle, played the ball at an average speed of 4.53 seconds and made three tackles.

    Tony Francis scored his opening try in the 24th minute when after receiving a cut-out pass from his inside Tony Francis had a twelve metre run to cross the try line side out on the right before bringing the ball around ten metres closer to the posts.

    Tony Francis scored his second try in the 68th minute when after once again receiving a cut-out pass from his inside Tony Francis ran over the top pf three defenders from ten metres out to get the ball down in the right corner.

    Tony Francis also made a 51st minute line break when after picking up a Central Queensland dropped ball ten metrs out from his own try line Tony Francis rumbled downfield getting to within eight metres of thr halfway mark before he was brought to ground. Tony Francis was then awarded a penalty for the ball being stripped in the tackle.

    Tony Francis also made a strong run in the 49th minute when from ten metres from his own try line and to the left of the play the ball Tony Francis was able to get the ball out to the twenty four metre mark.

    Tony Francis did well in the 17th minute when he chased through a Burleigh kick from thirty five metres out into the in-goal with Tony Francis racing downfield and tackleing the Capra’s player in-goal to force a goal line drop-out. Then Tony Francis got up high to take the Central Queensland short drop-out on the full.

    Tony Francis also did well in the 37th minute when he came forward off his try line to leap high a take a Capra’s bomb to his wing on the full whist under heavy pressure.

    Playing the entire match Tony Francis ran for 141 metres (fifty nine post contact), made a team leading two line breaks, broke a team leading ten tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 4.01 seconds and made a tackle.

    Tony Francis continued at right centre in Round Nine against the Mackay Cutters in With Tony Francis scoring a try and kicking a 75th minute conversion.

    Tony Francis scored in the 39th minute with a tackling breaking ten metre run down the right touchline to score in the corner from ten metres out. Just two tackles earlier Tony Francis had made a line break with a strong run to inside the attacking twenty metre area from the forty metre mark.

    Playing all eighty minue Tony Francis ran for a team leading 210 metres, a team leading ninety two of which were post contact, made a line break. Broke a team leading five tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.36 seconds and made five tackles at a 100% tackling efficiency.

    After nine rounds of the 2023 Queensland Cup competition Tony Francis was sitting equal third in terms of post contact with 486 metres.

    Thomas Weaver started at halfback wing in Round Six of the Queensland Cup against the Townsville Blackhawks with Thomas Weaver recording a try assist in the 14th minute when from the right of the play the ball and ten metres out Thomas Weaver threw a twenty metre cut out pass to his right to put Kaleb Ngamanu over to score in the right corner.

    The 43rd minute saw Thomas Weaver receive and off-load two metres inside Blackhawks territory with Thomas Weaver accelerating quickly and after running to his left Thomas Weaver was able to get the ball to twenty six metres away from the try line.

    Thomas Weaver was then a key player in the 79th minute penalty goal that won the match for the Seagulls when after doing well to take a low pass from the left of the play the ball when eighteen metres out, Thomas Weaver ran the ball himself and after cutting back inside, Thomas Weaver was awarded a penalty with he was hit.

    Playing the entire match Thomas Weaver ran for eighty nine metres (twenty three post contact), broke a tackle, played the ball at an average speed of 4.17 seconds, made twelve tackles and kicked on five occasions making 171 metres.

    Thomas Weaver continued at halfback in Round Eight against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Thomas Weaver scoring his first career Queensland Cup points with an outstanding conversion from the right touchline in the final minute of the match.

    Thomas Weaver continued at halfback in Round Nine against the Souths Logan Magpies with Thomas Weaver heavily involved in the Seagulls opening try in the 4th minute when from near the goal posts and ten metres out Thomas Weaver put in a right foot bomb to the left corner which was collected by Tweed Heads for Rylan Jacobs to score in the corner.

    Thomas Weaver made a line break in the 10th minute when after receiving an off-load on the right side of the field when thirty metres out, Thomas Weaver accelerated off the mark getting to within ten metres of the try line near the right touchline.

    Thomas Weaver also forced a goal line drop-out in the 11th minute with a right foot grubber kick into the in-goal from eleven metres out and to the right of the play the ball.

    After a number of weeks in the NRL with the Titans Klese Hass started at right second row in Round Eleven against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Klese Haas making a strong run in the 25th minute the halfway mark and after breaking a tackle Klese Haas carried the ball to thirty two metres out before getting an off-load away to he left.

    Klese Haas also did well in the 55th minute when from the left of the play the ball and seven metres inside his own territory Klese Haas carried the bll to eleven metres inside Wynnum Manly territory.

    Playing the entire match Klese Hass ran for 115 metres (fifty four post contact), broke six tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 2.85 seconds and made twenty eight tackles at a tackling efficiency of 93.33%.

    Keano Kini was back at fullback for the Bears in Round Ten of the QCup competition against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Keano Kini scoring in the 4th minute when Keano Kini backed up a line break dow the right side of the field with Keano Kini receiving the ball from his right when twenty metres out with Keano Kini comfortably able to score under the posts.

    Keano Kini also made a line break in the 66th minute when after Burleigh batted back a short drop-out to their left Keano Kini picked up the ball seven metres out from his own try line and immediately exploded downfield and after getting to the thirty metre mark Keano Kini stepped off his right foot to beat two defenders with Keano Kini getting the ball two metres inside Toowoomba territory.

    Earlier in the 35th minute Keano Kini chimed into the Bears backline on the right from twenty five metres out and after stepping off his right foot got within ten metres of the try line. Then in the 39th minute from the right of the play the ball and five metres inside his own territory Keano Kini carried the ball to ten metres inside Clydesdales territory.

    Playing all eighty minutes of the match Keano Kini ran for a team leading 260 metres, a team leading seventy seven of which were post contact, made a line break, broke seven tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.63 seconds and made five tackles at an 83.33% tackling efficiency.

    Keano Kini’s performance saw him named on the bench in the Queensland Rrugby League 2023 Round Ten Queensland Cup Team of the Week.

    After ten rounds of the 2023 Queensland Cup competition Keano Kini was fifth in terms of kick return metres made with 315 metres.

    Ryan Foran made his Queensland Cup debut for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Ten of the 2023 season from the bench against the Ipswich Jets with Ryan Foran coming off the bench to operate at right second row in the second half.

    Playing thirty eight minutes in his Queensland Cup debut at left second row Ryan Foran ran for thirty eight metres (twenty post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 3.25 seconds and made six tackles at a tackling efficiency of 85.71%

    Oskar Bryant continued from the bench in Round Ten of the QCup for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Ipswich Jets with Oskar Bryant recording a try assist in the 36th minute when from eight metres inside Jets territory Oskar Bryant ran to his right out of dummy half holding the ball out in front of his body in both hands threatening to pass to his right but Oskar Bryant ran the ball himself instead and after bursting through the Ipswich defensive line Oskar Bryant ran to the fullback and after drawing him passed to his right to put his right second rower over to score under the posts.

    Then in the 63rd minute from thirty metres out from his own try line Oskar Bryant ran to his right out of dummy half getting to within eight metres of the halfway mark. Oskar Bryant also ran to his right out of dummy half in the 76th minute from thirty eight metres out from his own try line to three metres into Jets territory.

    Playing fifty three minutes off the bench Oskar Bryant ran for eighty two metres (twelve post contact), recorded a try assist, broke two tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.11 seconds and made sixteen tackles.

    Tremain Spry continued at right centre for Tweed Heads in Round Ten of the QCup against the Ipswich Jets with Tremain Spry scoring in the 4th minute with a twenty five metre charge down the right channel to get the ball down three metres in from the right corner post.

    Tremain Spry almost scored a second try in the 12th minute only to be held up near the right corner psot after a twenty three metre run.

    Tremain Spry also recorded a line break in the 19th minute from five metres inside his own territory when after receiving a pass from his left from Toby Sexton, Tremain Spry burst away down the right channel and then when less than ten metres from the try line Tremain Spry off-loaded back to Toby Sexton who was held up over the try line.

    Tremain Spry then made a second line break in the 28th minute when from forty metres out from his own try line Trmain Spry broke through the Jets defensive line off a Toby Sexton pass to get within thirty five metres out from the Jets try line before off-loading to his right.

    Playing all eighty minutes of the match Tremain Spry ran for 102 metres, made two line breaks, broke three tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.28 seconds and made five tackles at an 83.33% tackling efficiency.

    After ten rounds of the 2023 Queensland Cup competition Tremain Spry was equal second in terms of line breaks made with ten line breaks.

    Tremain Spry also started at right centre in Round Eleven against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Tremain Spry making a strong run in the 17th minute from the right of the play the ball to carry the ball from ten metres inside his own territory to three metres inside Wynnum Manly territory.

    Playing all eighty minutes of the match Kaleb Ngamanu ran for 146 metres (fifty seven post contact), broke a tackle, played the ball at an average speed of 3.71 seconds and made five tackles at a tackling efficiency of 83.33%.

    Thomas Weaver started at five eight for Tweed Heads in Round Eleven of the Queensland Cup against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Thomas Weaver socring his career first Queensland Cup try in the 19th minute when after receiving the ball three passes to the left of the play the ball and sixteen metres from the try line , Thomas Weaver continued to run to his left with the ball out in front of his body in two hands and as he approached the defensive line Thomas Weaver accelerated through a gap and then was able to bring the ball around a fraction to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

    Thomas Weaver also recorded a try assist in the 12th minute when from the left of the play the ball and just to the left of the uprights, Thomas Weaver threw a twenty metre cut-out pass from ten metres out to his left onto the chest of Ryland Jocobs who scored in the left corner.

    Playing the entire match Thomas Weaver recorded a try assist, line break and line break assist, ran for eighty two metres (nine post contact), broke a tackle, played the ball at an average speed of 2.85 seconds and made fifteen tackles at a tackling efficiency of 83.33%.

    How do you see spine looking in two to three years based on what you seen and potential

    For me from your lines, Thomas Weaver has the highest ceiling of the halves, the second list is a tough one because all three are outstanding, heck tough one and Verills stands out on relation to the hookers.

    I think Keano Kini ends up at fullback, AJ at five eight, Weaver at half and Verills at hooker with Tannah in the No. 14 jersey and Jayden Campbell in the centres or wing.

    Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui continued in the front row for Burleigh in Round Ten of the QCup against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui making a strong charge in the 7th minute from the right of the play the ball with Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui carrying the ball from twenty eight metres out from the try line to two metres out and ten metres to the left of the uprights with 60% of the metres that Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui made being post contact with the defensive line.

    Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui also made a strong run in the 24th minute from the left of the play the ball from thirty two metres from his own try line to within four metres of the halfway mark.

    Playing forty three minutes in the front row Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui ran for 107 metres (forty five post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 3.59 seconds and made twenty one tackles at an impressive tackling efficiency of 95.45%.

    Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui started in the front row once again in Round Eleven against the Ipswich Jets with Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui taking the second hit-up of the match to promote the ball to the twenty six metre mark. Then on the fifth tackle of the first set of the match Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui chased through a Burleigh attacking bomb and after retrieving the ball got a left arm flock off-load away to keep the attacking movement going less than ten metres from the try line.

    Playing forty two minutes Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui ran for 154 metres (sixty four post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 4.13 seconds and made thirteen tackles at a 100% tackling efficiency.

    Vaka Sikahele came off the bench once again in Round Eleven of the QCup for Burleigh against the Ipswich Jets with Vaka Sikahele scoring in the 73rd minute when after receiving an off-load twenty eight metres out from the try line, Vaka Sikahele initially slowly moved to his left to size up his next step with Vaka Sikahele then exploding downfield and straight through the centre of the Jets defensive line before Vaka Sikahele stepped off his left foot to beat the fullback and score a great solo try under the posts.

    Playing thirty five minutes Vaka Sikahele ran for sixty one metres (ten post contact), made a line break, broke three tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.96 seconds and made four tackles at a 100% tackling efficiency.
