Thomas Weaver continued at halfback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Sixteen of the Queensland Cup against the Norths Devils with Thomas Weaver coming close to setting up a Seagulls try in the 37th minute when from the left of the play the ball ten metres out and near the centre of the field Thomas Weaver put in a hard grubber kick towards the right wing with the ball barely just evading the diving Seagulls right winger Ryland Jacobs.

Thomas Weaver recorded a line break assist in the 63rd minute when after receiving the ball forty metres from the try line down a short right blindside, Thomas Weaver ran the ball ten metres before throwing a hard flat pass to his right to put Tremain Spry away down the right touchline.

Hey mdrew, obviously Titans see Weaver as their future priority in the halves somewhere. Do you think he’ll be up for the rigours of NRL towards the later part of next year? His coach has been praising his defensive willingness.

I believe so mate, this season Tom's defence has improved and also he is now taking the ball deep into the line before ball playing, similiarly he is running the ball a lot more.

HE still has to build up a lot but his ceiling is still sky high.

No disrespect to the bloke but I have no idea how he keeps makng the QRL team of the week. I think they genuinely just look at stats after the weekend and fall back on names they've picked before.
