I have been quite impressed with Boyd's development this season at 7.

His kicking game has gotten so much better it's incredible. Never lands one in the in goal always a meter out.

I'd feel bad if he were to get shafted for 2 seasons of hunt when it's our bench and centres that are causing us massive issues.

Apparently Hunt has asked the Dragons for a release....just reported during the Newy/Roosters game.

Boyd seems like a great bloke, and he's definitely been improving but having Hunt in our team would be huge. A parallel to the Reynolds signing for Brisbane.

same, but the fact is he's here for one more year and I doubt the coach would have the balls to leave him out of the team for his last year.

Anyways, Hunt may not even be coming here. Could be heading back up to play under Uncle Wayne for all we know.

I'd say that's the most likely destination. He's played under him before and he's from the Redcliffe area I think?

Dragons have refused Hunts request for release as reported in DT

Dragons are going to ask for a massive amount of assets going back if we/anyone get Hunt released and that's why a lot of this talk is kind of crazy although there is some merit to it, 900k plus young players and everything else are going back to Dragons. The talk about keeping Weaver and anyone else isn't realistic if we get Hunt and then we're still weak in all the areas we still are with him with depth becoming way weaker.

JC or AJ are also taking that 6 spot, It's been pretty openly said by the club.

I reckon this is all his manager agitating like he did earlier in the year when Hook was getting fired. I've been pretty unimpressed with how Hunt has handled the situation tbh... He signed the deal last year and didn't come here when we gave him the chance.

A 34 yo half back is not fixing this teams defensive or depth issues...
