I wouldn't discount BOYD and AJ in the halves with FORAN at 14 next year. FORAN will do more off the field than on; and provides a range of cover from the bench.

I think either way we are going to see a halves paring next year of AJ and Foran, also Foran and Boyd.

Because let's face it, we will get some injuries throughout the season. Foran, AJ, Jayden have all been injured numerous times.

Either way it gives us some depth and some options for next year which is better than we had this year. Also with the addition of Verrils it offers another dimension in attack, as well as Clarke in 13.

Let's not forget Melbourne's mantra has been to move fullbacks into the halves (Munster, Hughes) which works if you have the right no 9.

I still think we need some mongrel in the team to rip somebody's head off if they do a late shot or high tackle on one of our players. It will give our young players more confidence knowing there is someone having their back when they play.

I also hope Aaron Boothe recovers and gets another opportunity because he is a handy backup and Verrils has had some injuries as well.

For anyone interested, both Burleigh and Tweed Qcup games will be feautred on Kayo this weekend:

Burleigh v Capras on Saturday at 4:10pm (also on 9Now)
Tweed v Falcons on Sunday at 11am

Both are elimination finals.

Probably a corporate partner/sponsorship arrangement
