Will BK be in the team?

I'd prefer to see Sami but we need an update on his scans. I think Marzhew deserves another change too. He hasn't been dropped because of form.

    Team should be up soon.

As usually I love the derbies even if they haven't gone our way so much lately.

Mercifully it looks like we can enjoy some dry football this Friday.

    Big game from Wallace.

I think whatever team is announced there might be some changes to the one that runs on.

Assume BK will be back. Hopefully Herbert is too so we can piss Marsters back off to QCup. Thompson/Isaako wings with Jolliffe in for Mo.

Wallace will be champing at the bit to make up for that dropped ball against the Sharks. Expecting a big game from him.

Sami out 2-3 weeks, Mo is fine to play. Hopefully Fifita will be back too, but we just know Holbrook will name him on the bench

Glad to see Mo back. Fifita hopefully is ready to rip and tear. I seem to remember he was quiet last time we played the Broncos, so in my head canon he will have a blinder.

Injury update: Sami sidelined, Fotuaika good to go
    https://www.titans.com.au/news/2022/...ent-for-scans/

Titans and Queensland fans will be buoyed by the news Moeaki Fotuaika is good to go despite picking up an ankle injury in Sunday's clash against the Sharks.

The barnstorming Maroons forward finished the game despite the bump to his left ankle, and has since been diagnosed with a low-grade AITFL sprain.

The prop will be available for selection in NRL squad for this week's clash against the Broncos and is expected to be back on deck for the captain's run on Thursday.

In other injury news, scans have revealed Phil Sami has aggravated his pre-existing left knee PCL tear and won't be available this week.

Club medicos are currently working with the flyer with the aim of returning for the Titans' home game against South Sydney at Cbus Super Stadium in Round 14.

    Earlier...

The Gold Coast Titans can confirm Phil Sami and Moeaki Fotuaika have been sent for scans following the club's Round 11 clash against Cronulla.

High performance manager Klint Hoare confirmed the pair are currently being assessed with a further diagnosis to be determined in the next 24 hours.

High-flying Sami left the field in the 73rd minute with an injury to his left knee, whilst front row forward Fotuaika finished the game, but has since been hampered with an ankle injury sustained late in the Sunday afternoon contest.

In positive news, David Fifita will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness on Wednesday, returning from an MCL injury; whilst Brian Kelly has fully recovered from the flu and will come into calculations for selection in Friday's night's Indigenous Round matchup against the Brisbane Broncos.

In the Hostplus Cup, the news out of Burleigh's 28-22 win over the weekend was all Titans players coming through with a clean bill of health, whilst Tweed's match was postponed due to the adverse weather.

Five Indigenous stars named for Macca's local derby
    https://www.titans.com.au/news/2022/...s-local-derby/

This Friday night's derby against the Brisbane Broncos will be extraordinarily special for five Indigenous players who have been named in the Gold Coast Titans squad for Indigenous Round.

Proud Bundjalung man Brian Kelly has been named to return in the centres for the injured Phil Sami, whilst a standout performance for Burleigh last weekend sees Jaimin Jolliffe promoted to the top 17 in place of Herman Ese'ese.

David Fifita has been included in the reserves and will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of kick-off on Friday night.

Alongside Kelly and Fifita, other Indigenous representatives Jayden Campbell, Corey Thompson and Alofiana Khan-Pereira have also been named in the 24-man squad to face off in the Macca's local derby.

Kick-off is at 7.50pm at Suncorp Stadium.

Broncos v Titans: Mam gets another run; Fifita a chance to return
    http://www.nrl.com

The Broncos are outside the top four only on points differential while the Titans have slumped to 13th and are desperate to turn their season around.

Even without chief playmaker Adam Reynolds the Broncos still got the job done in style in Newcastle to make it five wins on the bounce for the first time since 2017 and they look more like the real deal with each passing week.

Such is the confidence in the squad that Ezra Mam slotted in at halfback in the skipper's absence and did a fine job, the Broncos barely skipping a beat as they piled on six tries.

In contrast the Titans have dropped away alarmingly after a solid 2-2 start to the season, their latest loss coming on Sunday after they gave away a huge start to the Sharks and were unable to reel them in.

    Team news
Broncos: There are no changes for the home side with Ezra Mam to get another game in the halves with Adam Reynolds (hamstring) left out as precaution after pulling up tight at training this week. The Broncos have a bye in round 13 meaning the skipper will get an additional week off and look to return against the Raiders on June 11.

Titans: Brian Kelly replaces Phil Sami (knee) in the backline while Jaimin Jolliffe comes onto the bench for Herman Ese'ese, who moves to the reserves. David Fifita (knee) has been included in the extended squad and his return can't come soon enough for the Titans who have lost five of their past six matches.

    Key match-up
Payne Haas v Jarrod Wallace: The Broncos' forward leader continues to rack up enormous numbers and have an enormous impact on games in 2022. Haas is churning out 182 metres per game and has 24 tackle breaks to his name, continually carting the ball forward when all those around him are gasping for air. Wallace has scored three tries in the past two matches and his willingness to roll the sleeves up and rip is crucial to the Titans' hopes of an upset. The 30-year-old has played increased minutes in the past two games and the way he is playing the Ttans need him in the thick of the action as much as possible.

    Stat Attack
The Broncos have missed 54 tackles across their past three games and conceded just 24 points to Souths (12), Manly (0) and Newcastle (12). The Titans have racked up 98 missed tackles across the past three weeks and conceded 85 points to the Roosters (44), Dragons (16) and Sharks (25).

We really miss marzhews metres coming out of our own end. I lost count of the amount of sets Corey Thompson got driven back behind the playthe ball every tackle two we can barely get out of our own half

    Question about our bench.
Every body talks about the lack of Impact the bench has.
    My question is why?
The players are told to hold the shape and play their role.
So why are they not getting the ball?
Been looking at other team stats and most bench players are averaging around 8 to 10 carries a game.
Our guys are way down compared to them,4 or 6 if their lucky.
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on that.

That is good news but Ezra is no slouch. But better for us without Reynolds for sure.

Just for all those playing along at home

Fogarty has been named for the Raiders too so good to see he has overcome his injury early
