I didn't realise there was a Ruby Series and that we also had a Titans team in it.

The Ruby Series’ underpins the HART Sapphire Series and provides a direct pathway for developing Queensland’s emerging talent. The Ruby Series provides an opportunity for players from right across Queensland to prepare for a place in the HART Sapphire Series as well as providing exciting young talent with the opportunity to learn from and be exposed to more experienced players and coaches.

Each Ruby Series’ team will have a direct link to a HART Sapphire Series team, providing opportunities for every player to advance. This provides links to further Queensland netball players and gives them equal opportunity.

Both the HART Sapphire Series and Ruby Series ensure young netballers around the State have a visible aspirational goal.

Participation in the Ruby Series will form a crucial step in the development framework for players to move from the Queensland Premier League up into the Ruby Series and then be a candidate for HART Sapphire Series contract. Ultimately, this will enhance the number of Queensland players who are ready to step into the Suncorp Super Netball competition.

NRL & NRLW Titans to cheer for finals

The Gold Coast Titans football squads will rally around their netball colleagues this weekend, with a must-win game on-court to decide the make up of Netball Queensland's Sapphire Series finals.

In their inaugural season in the competition, the Gold Coast Titans are a win away from securing a finals spot.

Should the Titans defeat USC Thunder they'll lock in a finals spot. Should the Thunder win, they'll claim the position.

Sitting courtside at Carrara will be members of the Titans NRL and NRLW sides as they help their fellow Gold Coasters push towards finals.

The Titans have plenty of overlap between squads, with Titans Netball head coach and former New Zealand Silver Ferns legend Temepara Bailey the mum of NRL hooker Erin Clark.

The Titans Ruby Squad have already qualified for finals and will finish the regular season with a clash against local rivals Bond University.

The Sapphire Series game will get underway at 2pm, with the Ruby Series to follow at 4pm on Sunday 10th July.

The Titans Netball home venue is the Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium, with adult tickets just $15 and kids under 12 able to enter for free.
