Hahaha wtf is that about, all the reports were he was going to the Eels. Why do we even need him with all our backline depth? We’ve already got 3 wingers to fit into 2 at the moment, maybe he is depth for if there are any issues with JC?

Well that is certainly out of left field, journos had the wrong blue and gold team

I’m happy with that signing. Most likely a depth player but is a great goal kicker and can fill in if one of the wingers go down. Only for this year obviously as well so can’t be upset with it

Good signing, needed ready made fullback depth badly for this year.

I like the signing. Arguably not a position of need but we have to fill out that top 30 for 2022 somehow and you can only sign what is available. Short-term reliable backup for JC and added competition in the outside backs.

Good insurance policy if JC struggles a bit as the year goes on. This way we can keep AJ at 6 and either Isaako or Thompson play FB.

He is a kicker too so a little bit of a bonus.

I don't understand this at all. If JC goes down, Thompson shifts to fullback and Marzhew goes to Thompson's wing. If both JC and Thompson go down, Sami shifts to fullback and Marsters/Spry/Lofi come in on Sami's wing. If all of JC, Thompson and Sami go down, Brimson goes to fullback and Smith goes to 5/8 (or vice versa).

    Where does Isaako fit in?

We could probably do that musical chairs thing with any position on the roster tbh besides hooker & half

The way I look at it - we had to fill a top 30 spot for 2022, not much was available for what we most urgently needed, so what was really the opportunity cost?

Logical for him as he doesn't have to move interstate for the interim. The BIG question is: who needs him more? Tweed or Bears?

    I reckon Tweed....

Tanah Boyd broke his jaw on the weekend so Paul Turner may find himself moving into the halves

And therein lies the logic of the signing from our point of view ... depth for the senior squad and necessity for Tweed ... thanks HS and a horrible thing about Tanah.

Might be way off but blokes on reddit saying that Paul turner picked up an injury on the weekend and JC had a slight knee complaint after round 1 and still there after round 2.

Might just be there to give JC a rest

They're referring to this video - Klint mentions Turner just carrying a groin thing: https://www.titans.com.au/news/2022/...hia-protocols/

Great signing, the club is just so damn quiet with everything these days, love to see it.

How many sides are deeper than this current Titans side on paper? seems like there are a solid 5 or so guys of ours that could easily start at other clubs, that won't even make our bench lmao. Deepest Titans team of memory at least.
