Where are they at? With Bryce and Co gone I thought we wouldn't have an issue.

70% are vaccinated which to me suggests that around 9 players haven’t been double jabbed yet.

Better than the states average. I only got my 2nd last Sunday at the GF, whereas my brother is pretty close to needing a booster as he was round 1

is that 70% of first grade or total contracted players? if the first grade side is done im ok with it.

unjabbed players will be missing games if outbreaks happen which puts the team at a disadvantage. dont know if the train and trialists are going to be pressured to get it unless we are promoting them

    So official from the club.

The Gold Coast Titans have released halfback Jamal Fogarty from the remainder of his contract to allow him to explore other long-term opportunities.

Fogarty has played 39 games for the Titans over the past two seasons, adding to the two games he played on the Gold Coast in 2017.

The 27-year-old’s impact extended to his work off-field and he was recognised as a nominee for the NRL’s Ken Stephen Medal in 2021 for his work in the community.

“Jamal has played an important role at our Club over the past two seasons and has been the ultimate professional,” Titans Coach Justin Holbrook said.

“I want to thank him for the contribution that he has made to the Titans and we wish Jamal, Kahlia and their family all the best for the future.”

    Regards,

    The Gold Coast Titans

I wonder if Benji retiring didn't have an impact on weather Titans released him or not??

Its interesting to see how the new team in Brisbane impacts the signings and length of contracts over the next month or so. Some players would be happy to sign 1 year deals if it meant that they were available for the New Team. Could benefit some clubs and players..

Well at least we can have a game plan against the Raiders that exploits his defensive liabilities and attacking options.

Also In Jamals case it is more money to go to the Raiders...... But one point I'm not sure on and that doesn't sit well with me is that in the past few years we have seen our club captains go to other clubs ....... its a concern for me as Ryan and Jamal were strong off the field in the Community and I believe that these a qualities that we need at the club... In my view we have a big vacuum in that area and could comeback to bite us maybe..

All the best to Fogs. Was a great leader and a consistent player but glad we have invested in Sexton as Fogs has probably hit his ceiling as far as potential goes. A little worried about the lack of experience but Sexton seemed to have a cool head on his shoulders in the games he played this year. If anything he seemed to link up with Fifita and his outside players much better than any of the other halves did.

Mo and Tino punching holes through the middle with Sexy and Brimmo in the halves, Campbell floating out the back and Fifita running over blokes is absolutely mouthwatering to think about Hopefully it all works out!

All the best to Jamal but it kinda annoys me all the people saying were no hope of finals and hating us for releasing our captain but at the end of the day experience only counts for so much and our captain's Fogarty and proctor were two of our worst this year. No one on Facebook or in the media must've watched any games or noticed how many times Fogarty would do the same useless mid Bomb with no chasers, I'm happy now that there should be actual competition for spots not dropping youngsters like Sexton because our captain's back from injury

Man it's hilarious hey. The casuals on FB are losing their mind, and the Canberra supporters think they've got him for an absolute steal at 300-400k per year. I'm not sure they've actually watched him play, and I'm also not sure they're aware we re-signed him a few months ago for 150ish per year (and his manager, knowing his market value, accepted it..)

We're targeting a replacement who can cover 6/7/9 adequately as opposed to a specialist 7

Fogs was a popular member of the club. A leader to many young players. That will be missed.

Kelly is the worry. He will not be allowed into NZ, Melb and possibly NSW. Rumours of a player or two from the Storm and Cows who don’t want to be vaxed being offered to NSW based clubs as they will miss possibly 6 games but if they stay where they are now possibly miss 12 games

That is what the good teams do

Jacko, we could slip Marsters straight into Kelly’s slot if he persists with that.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
