Taumalolo will be out for this game
I rate us for this game. Sunday afternoon game. Sports bet already has us as $1.55 favourites (cows at $2.45). I hope to make the trip up!
We will come epically crashing back down to earth if we don’t back up last nights effort and get this one won. Need to get a valuable away win.
Yea this is almost a must win if we are gonna be a top 8 team especially with no taumaloo we can't underestimate them
Can we take out our two QLD rivals within one week? I think we can. That'd put us well ahead as Kings of Queensland.
It's always tough in Townsville though. Last time we played there we did get to play at the new Queensland Country Bank Stadium, but there was no crowd as it was part of the season reboot in May. We went down 36-6.
Our forwards were much improved. And I think they have much more to come.
Unchanged team IMO.
Hope to see more of AJ and improved form from Mo.
I'm happy though.

Did NQ have any injuries or reports tonight??
No injuries from what I saw but Feldt is on report and might be in trouble. He made a classic front on tackle which went a little wrong. NQ played quite well and probably the best game so far other than the opening Storm/Rabbits game. We will need to be better than last night to beat them.
Thanks very much MT
That tackle of Feldt's on Bird was a cracker ... it's a pity that type of defence attracts punishment but the Cows without him will struggle if we bring our A game.

COWBOYS TO FIGHT FEARS
http://www.couriermail.com.au
JAKE Granville has lamented the Cowboys’ habit of letting opponents back into games in the wake of coach Todd Payten’s declaration his side is “scared” to go after the contest.
In the aftermath of North Queensland’s 25-19 loss to the Dragons, Payten called out the Cowboys players for being afraid to capitalise on their momentum and making crucial errors as a result.
They are mistakes which will be punished by the Gold Coast Titans this weekend, who’s star forward pairing of David Fifita and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui terrorising the Broncos in a Round 2 rout of Brisbane.
“We believe in our own game, when we get it right we can mix it with anyone. We just have to do it for the whole 80 minutes, and capitalise on those crucial times,” Granville said.

Cowboys v Titans: Cotter faces challenge; Sami centre of attention
https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/03/22/...-of-attention/
The Titans boast the only win by a Queensland team so far in 2021 and will look to entrench their north-of-the-border dominance against the Cowboys after disposing of Brisbane in round two.
Hyped on the back of their five-game winning streak to finish 2020 in ninth place and off-season recruiting class headed by forwards David Fifita and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Gold Coast stumbled out of the gate with an uninspiring 18-6 loss to the New Zealand Warriors.
But a dominant performance by their star recruits, including a trademark two-try performance by hard-charging Fifita, has put the hype train back on track as they head into the second leg of their Queensland double.
The Cowboys also turned in a much-improved performance against the Dragons, after failing to trouble the scorers in their opener against Penrith, but a lack of composure saw them fall short of victory.
The rundown
Team news
Cowboys: Todd Payten was happy with the way Reuben Cotter replaced forward leader Jason Taumalolo (broken hand) but veteran Josh McGuire made a compelling case for taking over the No.13 jersey with an energetic display against the Dragons which caught the coach's eye.
Valentine Holmes did his cause for a switch to fullback no harm with a enterprising game, highlighted by a try under the posts which he created with a clever grubber kick.
Kane Bradley (shoulder) and Tom Gilbert (broken fibula) are expected back in the coming weeks.
Titans: Phillip Sami is expected to continue deputising in the centres with Brian Kelly (fractured hand) scheduled to return in round five.
There are no other injury worries for coach Justin Holbrook as Gold Coast attempt to complete the Queensland double.

Key match-up
Reuben Cotter v Tino Fa'asumaleaui: Jason Taumalolo's understudy Cotter already faced a massive challenge replacing the NRL's most-damaging No.13 and it doesn't get any easier this week when he is expected to hold his own against one of the game's rising stars.
Highly touted ex-Storm impact player Fa'asuamaleaui is relishing his elevation to the starting line-up on the Gold Coast, averaging 60 minutes a game while dishing out plenty of punishment in defence and imposing his will with the ball in hand.
Stat attack
The Titans will have to clean up their act if they are to fulfil the high hopes fans and critics have for them this season. After two rounds they are ranked second for errors with 30 (just one behind leaders the Cowboys and equal with the third member of the Queensland triumvirate Brisbane) and second in ineffective tackles with 43 to No.1 Parramatta's 47.
