Prolly around the 70% mark from my experince.

And also, how long will these police and stronger laws be implemented for? will they only last untill next year? i dont know if the police can afford to have a riot squad at every dogs game for the next few years.

I dont think those measures will be the only ones taken - especially if the violence hapens again. That is coming from purely a police view - the NRL will alter Dogs games if things dont change to the point of lock-out.

No but the way that reads you think violence will solve violence....

We now know you would probably never do it - but what else are people meant to read when you say you want to punch someone in the face, especially considering that is exactly what a number of the hooligan Dogs fans have been doing.

From todays RLW there is an eye witness account of four men in dogs jerseys boarding a train and attacking a lone Tigers fan minding his own business. People should be able to support there team without any fear for their own safety.

By saying that you want to punch them in the face is only continuing peoples impressions (rightly or wrongly) that Dogs fans are violent. MAybe you need to think a little bit more about what you write, instead of saying

in big BOLD letters, let us know how angry they make you. People can only read that and see what you wrote in bold and think - GTD wants to beat someone up - even if you never would do that, we dont know that.

You need to be careful how you post or people will take what you write the wrong way.

thing is it isnt simple. If it was simple then they would have been booted long ago. People can sneak into games having their face covered by footy gear or by just shear numbers....who is going to scan a ground of 20,000 to pick out people who are banned?

They need to try and stop this from happening, then if something does happen the police need to catch these people charge them with assault or what ever they are guilty of, go to court and try get them locked up. Then ban them from games...altho banning someone from attending games would be extremely hard to police.

    I know that GTD!!!!!!!!!!!

....there was more then just 4 people involved. And im talking about in the future, this is what needs to happens from now on: First try and stop these incidents from happening, then if something does happen the riot/police get in there catch the guys and then they need to go to court and then banned from games.

In England they have introduced various methods over the years to try and stamp out football hooliganism, and while it's not 100% effective, they have managed to cut down on the amount of violence occuring at games. The following quote is from http://www.politics.co.uk/issues/foo...m-$2757411.htm and addresses the legalities of enforcing football bans:

The Public Order Act 1986 permitted courts to ban supporters from grounds, while the Football Spectators Act 1989 provided for banning convicted hooligans from attending international matches. The Football (Disorder) Act 1999 changed this from a discretionary power of the courts to a duty to make orders. The Football Disorder Act 2000 abolished the distinction between domestic and international bans. The Football Offences Act 1991 created specific offences of throwing missiles onto pitches, participating in indecent or racist chanting and going onto the pitch without lawful authority.
Another aspect of policing these bans in England is that they have police who specialise in Football Hooliganism, who know who the troublemakers are, and are deployed to football games to look out for known banned hooligans. They also use plain clothes 'spotters' who mix in with the crowd, and they also effectively use closed circuit television to scan incoming crowds for hooligans.

And lastly, with the current Bulldogs fans who repeatedly cause all this trouble, I suggest something like this be used:

    Thanks Dakink

This is interesting.... I found this on the Bulldogs website, http://www.bulldogs.com.au ,taken from the Fan Code Of Conduct. I have taken the liberty of highlighting what I consider to be the most relevant points to this thread:

As a member of the Bulldogs Rugby League Club family, we agree to abide by a code of conduct that will help our supporters be regarded as the best in the NRL. The code of conduct is as follows:
    WE WILL
    - We will welcome away team fans and assist the Club deliver an enjoyable and non-threatening experience at our home games.
    - We will exhibit dignity, pride and poise: characteristics of the Club.
    - We will celebrate in victory and commiserate in defeat.
    - We will acknowledge and respect opposition fans allegiance to their own Club.
    - We recognise the efforts of the Bulldogs players as playing to the best of their ability in an effort to win each and every game.
    - We will work with the Club to enforce the Code of Conduct at home and away games throughout the NRL season.
    - We will inform the Club of people who do not abide by the Fan Code of Conduct and will support the Club cancelling the privileges or access to the services provided by the Club of these supporters.

    WE WILL NOT
    - We will not engage in activity that embarrasses or inhibits others from enjoying the viewing of a Bulldogs game.
    - We will not taunt opposition fans in victory or exhibit bad sportsmanship in defeat.
    - We will not react in an abusive or violent manner, including verbal, physical and emotional abuse, - towards players, officials, media, venue staff, other spectators (home or away) and others.
    - We will not disparage other teams or their fans.
    - We will not publicly criticise the Bulldogs Club in a demeaning or derogatory manner regarding team selection, coaching, player contracts, and other decisions made by the administration.
    - We will not use foul or abusive language towards fellow supporters, away supporters, or match day officials.
    - We will not display banners with obscene or inappropriate messages.
Well, that just about wraps it up, folks. The club has put this on their website, now those rowdy fans won't dare cause trouble at the matches! lmao

This is the line that the Dogs fans that are blaming the ratbag element should follow. If you know who these hooligans are - dob em in. It is part of what your won club wants.
