The Queensland Rugby League has launched a commentator development program as part of its move towards being the host broadcaster of the Intrust Super Cup.

The new program will include Nine Wide World of Sport and Intrust Super Cup commentator Peter Psaltis as mentor and aims to give opportunities to aspiring commentators and create a consistent approach to commentary across the state.

The recruitment of commentators for QRL broadcasts will come exclusively from participants in the program, and commentators of all skill sets and experience are encouraged to apply.

The program will include four interactive workshop nights featuring guest speakers, a demo recording session with the QRL's Digital team and one-on-one coaching with Peter Psaltis.

Expressions of interest close on February 19.
