I had a discussion with the wife when we were leaving the game on Friday. Can our home ground DJ sledge the opposition. So when the opposition drop a ball you could play Snoop "drop like its hot" or when am opposition try goes upstairs they could play simon cowell "its a no from me" grab. I say yes, she says unprofessional. I say professional athletes should be able to cop it like they do from fans in the stand.

    Thoughts?

Well, mate...to tell you the truth...I feckin' love the idea!! The crowd would get such a buzz out of it. It would lift the on ground experience of game day even higher. And let's face it...league is an entertainment business. Even with a loss, you could still get a laugh if the DJ is quick witted enough. I really like that idea. Good one JB!

Here's a bit of bluegrass. This is a song about the american civil war...from the perspective of a tree that witnessed the battle. Yeah, I know...but it's good.

    A bit of Eric Church

We all know copperhead road from Steve Earl. This is Johnny Come Lately off the same album. It takes you from WW2 to the Vietnam war through 2 generations from the same family (grandfather - grandson). I like the lyrics. Good song!

How about some awesome guitar work for some of the older members? It was good in the 70's...it's still good now!

    - - - Updated - - -

Speaking of awesome guitarists from "back in the day"...Robin Trower was one, and still is!

Here's something cool. This is Sturgill Simpson's You Can Have the Crown

And here is Post Malone's cover. Here, Post is backed by Dwight Yoakam's band. Malone and country music are pretty well tangled...

    - - - Updated - - -

Then there are some people that don't need a band. Tyler Childers is one of those.

    - - - Updated - - -

And lastly for today, a classic from Henry Rollins..
