If true I’m more disappointed in the club than Fifita. We’ll see what transpires, don’t think it‘a as big of a deal as the courier mail is trying to make out.
On another note, the trial team for this weekend looks great.
Agreed HS, what do we make of Herman not being named at all? He did look quite big in photos from training, maybe he hasn’t been up to standard. Him and Sami being benched sends a good message to the squad

Sounds like fake news to me seeing as we are saying we are compliant

I like the team , I heard esse has a injured foot
This is why we need a leagues club so the family can come into the club and win the jackpot on the pokies and then it's all above board when we want to cover things up as well as the Broncos do.
Very strong team named. Now I'm wondering if I head down for the trip.
There is going to be a livestream for our trial on Saturday against the Warriors.

If the club paid the family compensation and not Fifita himself, we are in deep poo.
Surely we have finally learnt to not be that dumb.
Here is the NRL.com website that will carry it.
Titans v Warriors: 6pm (AEDT) at Oaks Oval, Lismore. Watch live: Kayo, NRL.com, participating club websites

Warriors, Titans name squads for trial clash
The New Zealand Warriors and Gold Coast Titans have named their sides for Saturday’s trial clash.
The Warriors will be up against some familiar faces, with former players Patrick Herbert, Sam Lisone and Erin Clark all named for the Titans.
David Fifita, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Patrick Herbert will all wear the Titans jersey for the first time.
Nathan Brown has named all seven new signings for the clash – with Marcelo Montoya, Euan Aitken, Addin Fonua-Blake and Bayley Sironen all featuring in the starting line-up and Ben Murdoch-Masila, Kane Evans and Sean O’Sullivan occupying the bench.
The Warriors have opted to play their strongest team available, with Brown explaining that it was a full dress rehearsal for the season proper.
“We’re fielding the strongest side available in what is a vital trial for us,” Brown told warriors.kiwi.
“Missing out on a trial last weekend was disappointing but we will just roll with what we have.
“It’s a great opportunity to try our new players, look at combinations and also to bring back a couple of players from long injury lay-offs.”
The Oakes Oval clash in Lismore will kick off at 5.50pm (7.50pm NZT)

That's a pretty powerful forward pack (including their bench) the warriors have. Should be a good test for us!
Titans by 18!!
Apparently we paid for a $10,000 security system at the place Fifita ended up in December.. can’t read the article but Travis meyn or whatever his name is put it up on twitter

IF true and it might be a big IF, I would be very disappointed in the management of the club. This would just send a message to players that whenever they get in strife club management will assist in paying their way out of trouble and sweeping things under the carpet. Not a great judgement call at all.
I would be surprised if the owners would have cleared this payment. We need to be better than this. As I said, if true, which I hope it is not.
This is a very poor look if true ... the Club needs to divorce itself from such public backhanders ... sure, I'm all for standing behind our players but when it is not Club related then they should publicly stay the frig out of it.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
Well I’m starting to get nervous now.
Even the club statement of “we are confident we are salary cap compliant” scares me.
