Munster started as a fullback and transitioned to 5/8. I think him and Brimmo are similar but obviously Brimmo is the budget version.

I heard Brimmo say in an interview that he actually came through the lower grades in the halves anyway so it's not like he doesn't have experience there. Prefers fullback now, but don't think it'd bother him if he had to move. Hughes, Munster, both played fullback earlier on in their careers too. Newcastle tried this with Ponga but the experiment for whatever reason failed.
Really excited to see JC back in the team and #1.

No issues with JC at FB and Brimson moving in, but who will be the other half. We are kidding ourselves if we think that combination will take us far, and it's not fair to put that pressure on JC yet. Looks like our semi final window might close after this season at this rate, unless the club has something in train that we don't know about.
CLOCK TICKING FOR ASH TO RESCUE HIS CAREER
http://www.gcbulletin.com.au
GOLD Coast Titans five-eighth Ash Taylor has 240 minutes to save his NRL career as D-Day looms for the maligned playmaker.
Taylor will enter the final three rounds of the regular season without a contract for 2022 and has been tasked with leading the Titans to a drought-breaking finals berth.
Titans coach Justin Holbrook has denied he is messing with Taylor’s head, despite the Gold Coast leaving their million-dollar pivot in limbo by not tabling an offer or informing him if he will be part of their future.
The Titans are planning to make a definitive call on Taylor at their next recruitment committee meeting in the coming weeks and one of Taylor’s final chances to impress will come against Melbourne Storm at Cbus Super Stadium on Thursday night.
A win against the Storm, who are gunning for a record 19th straight victory, will take the Titans one step closer to playing finals for the first time since 2016, with Taylor the only remaining player from that play-offs loss to Brisbane.
Despite his reluctance to offer Taylor a new deal, Holbrook has consistently maintained the door hasn’t been closed on him and denied the impasse could be affecting the 26-year-old. “I don’t think it’s upsetting him or not,” Holbrook said. “It’s open-ended. “It’s not a definite yes or we would have signed him, but I don’t want to close the door either. “We haven’t got any definite options for six next year so the longer I pick him, the better chance he’s got. “If his future’s not here, at least he is playing and if he’s playing well other clubs are going to show interest.”

AJ at 5/8 and Jayden Campbell to wear the Titans No. 1 jersey for the ten years spells great times for the Titans.
Cant watch Holbrooks bull**** press conference, avoids real answers

Coaching is a bigger issue than a hooker. Last few big names we have brought in have either stagnated - Tino and Fifita or gone backwards- Herman.
Lack of creativity, alot of our attack relies on getting the bounce from a kick or a player like Fifita running over someone, we need alot more than that, we require plays that build deception- over w coaches
Well, Herman hasn’t gone backwards. He’s just not good enough to make our side. Tino has gone from premiership winners with immortal to playing with us and Fifita is still having the best season of his career with the worst halves in the NRL inside him. He’s got a long way to go but with a decent 6 or 7 feeding him he’d be much better off.
And isn’t a lack of creativity an obvious halves and 9 issue as opposed to coaching?
Our issue is we have a shocking 6/7 (excusing Sexton) & 9. Improve those and were immediately a miles better side.
That’s not good enough for Fifita, playing 6 good games doesn’t cut it for a marquee player. Creative create gaps that can be coached …if it can’t we don’t need coaches just recruitment managers. Gotta get more out of what we have, yes we need improvement in the hooker position but more importantly we need improvement on all positions.
We are Flat track bully’s and that’s why we have lost 24 from the last 26 against top 8 teams.
Time for coaches to step up.
With you Jacko … stand deep and run David, now the rest of you pass it to David once every 6.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
I think Fifita has played incredibly this year and much better then I ever though he would. He has had some flat games but most of that comes down to other teams smothering him in defence but overall that’s a credit to the defence and our halves not getting him good ball.
Munster played well last night but overall has been absolutely garbage this year. Munster also had a terrible origin series and he’s a much more experienced player who is a test player. It’s just he’s in a team with incredible players and doesn’t need to perform. Put him with the dogs or tiger and everyone would be ripping into him.
