The NRL has today released the current squad lists for all teams in the competition for the 2021 season.

The Titans have 28 players confirmed, with two spots still available in next years roster.

Join the Legion and become 2021 Titans Member.

Headlining the new recruits are David Fifita, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, Herman Ese’ese and Patrick Herbert.

Fifita joins from the Broncos with the 20-year-old second rower to link with former Keebra Park schoolmates Tanah Boyd, Moeaki Fotuaika and AJ Brimson in the Titans squad.

Fresh off a premiership with the Melbourne Storm and a State of Origin debut for Queensland, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui is a massive addition to bolster the Titans pack. Also just 20-years old, Fa’asuamaleaui and Fifita will prove a deadly combination for the Gold Coast side for years to come.

Herman Ese’ese returns to Queensland after 62 games with the Newcastle Knights. The kiwi forward adds extra go-forward, joining with Moeaki Fotuaika, Jarrod Wallace, Sam Lisone, Jaimin Jolliffe and Jai Whitbread to give the Titans plenty of depth up-front.

Another New Zealander will join the Titans backline, with Patrick Herbert joining the side from the New Zealand Warriors. Herbert is a goal-kicking centre and is an exciting addition to the roster of outside backs that includes Queensland Origin fullback AJ Brimson, Origin squad member Phillip Sami and Paul Broughton Medallist Brian Kelly to name a few.

Would be good to see AJ get a full pre-season in what do you think about Tautau Moga on a Train and Trial offer he has NRL experience
There is also Albert Hopoate as well on train and trial or he could go development player list

Done a deal with Keebra and PBC

The Gold Coast Titans and Keebra Park State High School have formalised a partnership that will see the NRL Club score first dibs on emerging NRL talent from the Gold Coast nursery.

While players already on NRL contracts with rival clubs will not be forced into participating in Titans programs, students currently unattached to clubs will reap the benefits of Titans development opportunities.

The club hopes their partnership will ensure the next Payne Haas and David Fifita choose the Titans instead.

The partnership between the NRL side and one of Australia’s leading sporting schools will also include development opportunities for coaching and teaching staff.

Titans CEO Steve Mitchell said this is landmark agreement, following in the footsteps of a similar deal with Palm Beach Currumbin earlier in the week, would give Gold Coast students a local pathway to NRL and NRLW competitions.

“We’ve already got some wonderful Keebra Park State High products as part of our NRL squad in AJ Brimson, Moeaki Fotuaika, Tanah Boyd and David Fifita,” Mitchell said.
    EARLIER

The Gold Coast Titans have formalised their partnership with schoolboy rugby league powerhouse Palm Beach Currumbin State High to help streamline the pathway for talented students to join the Titans.

The decision to take an informal relationship into a defined ‘feeder’-style program aims will see Titans coaches take a more active approach in mentoring PBC juniors to strengthen the bond between the school and the local NRL club.

“It’s a really big opportunity for the Titans to partner with Palm Beach Currumbin State High School, which as we all know is one of the leading schools in sports excellence in the country,” Titans CEO Steve Mitchell said.

I really don't like the look of this Brimson injury. Some who've had the same injury claim it can hinder you for up to 12 months. Just can't take a trick. Hopefully it's not worst case scenario.

Yeah it’s hugely concerning. We need more updates.

Cheers mdrew. We really need best case scenario for AJ. He needs a good pre season so we start next season well.
    He’s become our talisman.

Squad depth looks well above average, front office and back office only providing positive ripples in the public space, playing group behaving themselves, supporter base buoyant and the media has largely softened their attitude ... I feel quite disoriented.

Bodsie you could really be in for quiet year.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.

I would most certainly welcome a quiet year. (If it happens)
    No drama equals success. Finally.

The deals this week with Keebra and PBC go far beyond just what happens on the football field. This is also the path to rebuilding the community trust that was lost during the MS and Centre of Excellence years.

I’d imagine the reason for that was because the Broncos were so entrenched in those schools. If you think about it, we were completely up against it trying to compete with the biggest and wealthiest club taking players out of our catchment.

This is great news. Add one big name hooker to our roster and we’ve had a near perfect off season. Well done to the club officials that identified the need for these partnerships and those who got it done.
