Anti-vaxxer Carty might ruin the party if they enforce the flu vaccine rule for lockdown. I wonder if he can be stood down and go on job seeker.

It’s a damned good point and he’d be making himself even more offside with the GC faithful if he doesn’t play because of being an anti vaxxer

I understand he can play if he signs a waiver. I don't really care if he doesn't have a flu shot but I read a story that he and his wife were anti vaxxers for their kids - I have no time for people who take this stance.
Carty should be one of the 14 cut who's contracts are up this year. He offers little and I'd only keep him if he took a massive pay cut. Sure he showed a little more this year but we are comparing him to previous years form, not what we should be getting from a 600k a season player.

I don’t want players that play half good in a contract year.

Hope their kids never want to travel.

**edit** he’s here next year too. *sigh*

Sorry mate, my bad. I thought he was on the end of this season list. Oh well, hopefully he'll get shopped and a club in Sydney might offer something decent that he'll take. I know he's said he likes it here but that can be just bluff to impress people here. If he could only realise that the best way to impress people is to play decent.

I’m all for freedom of choice but anti-vaxxer is up there with the cargo cult.

Has Cartwright made any statements recently about whether he’s going to do what he’s got to do to play footy, represent us and most importantly pay his bills?

If Cartwright doesn’t want to get the flu shot I’m sure farmer would fill his void

Fingers crossed this happens. The last thing we need is this plague enthusiast all over the papers in titans colors.

I’m wondering whether if he refused whether it would allow us to release him from his contract with NO PAYOUT.

I doubt it, as a requirement like this wasn't in the original contract he would have signed. I'm no lawyer though.

Know where you are coming from mate and with you all the way, but I think an end of season shopping of him might be the best chance.

To be fair and not label people incorrectly...I don't think Carty and his wife are "plague enthusiasts". They stand for medical freedom of choice. I don't agree with them...but they don't seem to care if you or I vaccinate our kids or selves. I don't think they're against it outright...they just don't think it's right for them.

The anti-vaxxers claim them, and the media like to drum it up for the wowsers to froth over...but ask Cartwright if he thinks you shouldn't vaccinate your child or self and he'll tell you he didn't and his family is fine...on the other hand, I'll tell you that I DID vaccinate and my family is fine too.

The choice is the issue no one ever wants to recognise, and it's what the Cartwrights represent...or more accurately, are presented by the media as witches to be burnt for. As far as I'm aware, they don't want vaccinations abolished.

All that aside...I want Farmer in the side, as I have stated on here before. Not because Carty won't cop a jab, but because I don't think he delivers much on the field and a young, eager player will most likely put in much more effort. His stats for the first 2 games are not what I want from a starting/80 min player.

We are going to be a bloody shambles in the middle when Arrow leaves. It's time to see what Hollbrook can do with the young blokes in preparation for next year. I'll be massively surprised if we finish above the bottom 3 this year.

Was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek. Not meaning to offend, more so to illustrate the fact of yet another titans player in the paper for a stupid/wrong reasons.
