If it was Peachey or Robert I'd definitely prefer Peachey but I still see him as a long term specialised 14 that comes on after 30min and plays a roaming role in the middle. He will be closest to the ball in that position and will be playing against larger middles so his agility and footwork should be an advantage.

It is so frustrating to hear that Holbrook is looking to cycle through alternatives that have already been proven not to work. All I want is to see our younger players given a go.

Given the players we have now I'd be looking at:

    1. YT
    2. GL
    3. Kelly
    4. Spry
    5. Sami/Pearson
    6. Boyd/Fogarty
    7. Taylor
    8. Wallace (reluctantly)
    9. Peats
    10. MoFo
    11. Proctor
    12. Farmer
    13. Arrow
    14. Peachey
    15. Joliffe
    16. Lisone
    17. Hipgrave

It would be very inexperienced but at least it would be enjoyable to watch. I'm still holding out hope that we can get that Broncos fullback here and then YT would go to Sami's wing. Rein, Roberts, Copley and Don would all have played their last hame for club if I could have it my way. Peats would be on his last chance with Clarke breathing down his neck. Also tough on Whitbread but other than being a non imposing tackling machine, I don't see much in him.

Side note, I love Hipgrave. Apart from Arrow he looks like the only player that actually looks like he wants to be out there playing for the club. He will always give 100% and won't back down to anyone. When he is on the field he is my favourite player to watch.

Im all for giving younger players a go but I also don’t want to ruin their confidence. If we bring in 5 debutants at once without any ISC lead in its going to be a disaster

Don’t think Don will be dropped. I think we’ll end up with Sami/Copley/Kelly/Onomatopoeia/Don as our back 5.

With all of the injuries and departures I think they will go:

    1. Sami
    2. Copley
    3. Kelly
    4. Young
    5. Don
    6. TRob
    7. Ash
    8. Wallace
    9. Rein
    10. Lisone
    11. Proc
    12. Peach
    13. Arrow

    14. Peats
    15. MoFo
    16. Whitbread
    17. Hipgrave

But personally I would love to see Roberts dropped for Fogarty/Boyd and Wallace on very very thin ice with Joliffe ready to come in.

Bundy like it but would bench Peach for Peats, Hipgrave into 12 and Joliffe into the 17.

    Pretty similar to BT

    1. Sami
    2. Copley
    3. Kelly
    4. Young
    5. Don
    6. Ash
    7. Fogarty
    8. Wallace
    9. Peats
    10. MoFo
    11. Proctor
    12. Cartwright
    13. Arrow

    14. Rein
    15. Peachey
    16. Lisone
    17. Hipgrave

Peachey as a ball playing lock. Bench isn't huge so would need big minutes out of Wallace/Mo/Arrow.

I like most of the teams apart from peats and rein being in the same team.. time for a 80 min hooker and put someone on the Bench instead for a utility player.. like tanah Boyd.. and I’d like to see Pearson on a wing.. he did good in the pre season! Looked much better with him out there

I actually really like Rein coming on for 20-30 mins around the tired forwards, so I don't mind having him and Peats in the same team. I don't like it when they're both on the field at the same time though. Not opposed to getting Tanah some first grade experience though. Could see a future pairing of Fogarty/Boyd if we move Ash on at the end of next year. Then with Sexton coming through the ranks it's happy days. Also not opposed to Pearson coming in for Copley but was trying to be realistic as I think Copley/Don will be given first go.

I agree Croc I thought he looked pretty good. I’m surprised that people are still picking our current wingers after the last two seasons

I may be in the minority but I think Copley has actually been quite good for us on the wing (when not injured). It's the blokes inside him that haven't been providing. I'm also not a Don hater as I think he's safe as houses. That said, I'm not opposed to either of them being replaced by Pearson or GL.

I wouldn’t call myself a Don hater either. I think he’s been good for the club over the years but I encourage you to go back and have a look at some of our games from last year. He let in countless tries last year from bad reads in defence or rushing up and going for intercepts only to be left clutching at thin air. Granted, he is safe as houses under the high ball but when you combine his poor defence with the lack of impact he has coming off our own goal then it is hard to justify a place for him. I think Copley and Don have both been benefactors from the lack of experience we have in the squad at the moment and would struggle to be on the field at any other club.

    My 17 this week:
    1. Sami
    2. Pearson
    3. Kelly
    4. Young
    5. Copley/Don
    6. Fogarty
    7. Taylor
    8. Lisone
    9. Rein
    10. MoFo
    11. Proctor
    12. Hipgrave
    13. Arrow

    14. Peachy
    15. Wallace
    16. Whitbread
    17. Joliffe

Don't particularly like Sami as fullback but don't see many other options right now. Want to see Young T play if he is up to fitness, preseason fitness seems to be there I just hope his reads and ball work are up to scratch. Hipgrave to start at 2nd row. Fogarty to start at 5/8 need some experience there and he can look real silky at times and will take control if ash can't.
