Yes I knew it was not Ash that said it but there’s been this ongoing keyboard warrior theme regarding Ash for a while. Denis Watt said the same thing at the fan forum in regards to him.
I have no doubt it’s nothing to do with LOT our forum here nearly always is appropriate and I think FB has been mentioned somewhere as being the main source of whatever the keyboard warrior issues are.
My general point is that footy players and friends/family need to probably stay away from those platforms as opinions will vary, fluctuate and at times hurt.

From memory his contract was reportedly $3.2 over 3 years. So technically he's not on a milion. He's on a $60k more. Anyway, hope he's not dwelling on this crap and just comes and plays footy.

Was at the Titans ground today and the whole ground would be under 3 to 4 feet of water

Gold Coast Titans’ Parkwood training field submerged under 1.5m floodwaters

It’s been largely smooth sailing for the Titans over pre-season but they finally hit troubled waters this week as a 1.5m lake formed over their training field at Parkwood.

IT’S been largely smooth sailing for the Titans over pre-season but they finally hit troubled waters this week.

With the Gold Coast hammered by rain since the start of the month, the club’s Parkwood headquarters bore the brunt of the deluge on Thursday as floodwaters completely submerged the training field.

While the majority of the Titans’ top-30 squad was on duty at the NRL Nines in Perth, the formation of a 1.5m deep lake over the pitch forced the club’s remaining players to head to Burleigh’s Pizzey Park for training on Friday.

It is the second time in the past month the field has been flooded and forced a training switch, but club officials insist there are no fears about long-term damage to the facilities.

Groundskeeping staff from the adjacent Parkwood golf course are expected to get to work on repairing the field as soon as possible and the pre-season program will likely be back to normal by next week.

Strange because the Titans replied to a comment on Facebook saying that this week wasn’t but against Brisbane will be...

Toby Sexton to debut for Titans in Friday night trial

If the National Rugby League held a rookie draft like the NFL, there’s every chance the Gold Coast Titans would have selected the top schoolboy playmaker in the nation with their No.1 overall pick.

If the National Rugby League held a rookie draft like the NFL, there’s every chance the Gold Coast Titans would have selected the top schoolboy playmaker in the nation with their No.1 overall pick.

In 2019, Palm Beach Currumbin five-eighth Toby Sexton might have been that top selection.

Since there is no NRL Draft, Sexton was free to sign with any club in the competition he wanted to – and he still chose the Titans.

The team is set to repay that faith by handing the hometown playmaking prodigy his first game in the No.6 jersey, 15 minutes from the school campus where he shot to national acclaim.

Friday night’s Burleigh Bears trial will see two schoolboy rivals, Sexton from PBC and Tanah Boyd from Keebra Park, unite in the halves in a teaser for the Gold Coast-first approach the team have been desperate to build for years.

Halfback Ash Taylor will be as excited as any to watch a future halves partner take the field in blue and gold for the first time.

“It’s a massive coup for us (to land Sexton),” Taylor said.

“He’s been training well, sticking it to the forwards.

“He’s really stepped up to the plate of being a young bloke really putting it to the senior blokes in our team.

“He’s really pushing for our spots and he’s making (winning) our job a lot harder than it has been previously.”

'A very different player': Preston Campbell's son gets chance to shine for Titans
    https://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/

'They can’t go back': Star casinos defy high-roller coronavirus fearsAdd to shortlist
It’s a big weekend for the Campbell family.

On Friday night, the eve of the All Stars stars clash inspired by Preston Campbell, his son will make his debut in a Titans jersey against Burleigh Bears on the Gold Coast. Jayden Campbell, named in jersey No.17, is one of several young guns aiming to impress new coach Justin Holbrook.

Jayden recently signed a three-year deal with the Gold Coast, knocking back offers from rival clubs. Like his famous father, Jayden is equally comfortable at fullback, wing or in the halves and is considered one of the most promising prospects coming through the Queensland junior ranks.

Phil Gould has questioned whether the Gold Coast Titans have signed the wrong coach by getting Justin Holbrook.

The 20-year-old is currently on a development contract and has made a strong impression while training with the top squad through the summer. Friday’s trial presents an opportunity for local footy fans to see how far he has progressed.

“He’s a lot taller, he’s very lean,” Preston said of his son.

“He’s a different rugby league player, definitely a lot smarter than me. He’s got a passing game, played a lot of touch footy. Where I relied a lot on my agility and feet and speed off the mark, he has to rely on his passing because he’s got those longer legs, he’s probably not as quick.

“He’s got the attitude, it’s just a matter of things going his way, touch wood.

“All you can say to any young fella is to keep up the attitude, you just never know when the opportunity comes, you need to be ready.”

Holbrook has fielded a mix of promising youngsters and established NRL players including Jarrod Wallace, Shannon Boyd, Dale Copley, Kallum Watkins and Brian Kelly for the trial. While Jayden Campbell won’t start the year in first grade, the hitout against Burleigh is an opportunity to give local fans a glimpse into the club’s future.

“He started the preseason with them and he’s come a long way,” Preston said.

“He gets an insight into what it means to be a professional athlete.

“He’s enjoyed it, he’s taken it on and grown around professionalism, he looks after his body a little bit more.

“He enjoys it and appreciates the opportunity. He’s always had dreams of being a rugby league player. He’s on the right track at the moment.

“He has obviously been training alongside Ryan James and I think he might be the first bloke, if he makes it to NRL, to play alongside the father and son.

“I don’t think it’s been done before in the NRL. Let’s hope Ryno gets back onto the field.”

Campbell still lives at home - “He’s a bit of a mummy’s boy” quipped former Dally M medallist Preston - and the pair have played together for local side Helensvale Hornets.

“That’s his junior club, we had a couple of runs there two years ago when he was old enough to play seniors,” Preston said.

“He’d been into me for a couple of years (saying) ‘Dad, (can we (play together) when I’m older?’

“I wasn’t going to do it but I’m glad I did, it was a good feeling.”

I could be wrong (probably am) but I think ET may have played alongside Steve and Mat Rogers.
If he did play alongside Steve though it would have been fleeting. Maybe only minutes.

Yeah sorry Presto but ET did play alongside Steve Rogers
