I disagree. Friend was very solid tonight. He may not be a long term answer but he is definitely not horrible. He has a lot of experience, puts in massive defense and still is reasonable in attack.

We can’t afford stars across every position. We aren’t the roosters we have a salary cap. Last year we extended Rein over Peats. The purchases we have made for next year may leave our hands tied as to who we already have on contract.

To me Friend is one of those players that’s looks good because he is in a very good team. Think back to when Victor Radley burst into the scene, every Roosters fan wanted Friend gone. He had a pretty bad run with form. The risk is he produces that again.

Friend is exact same player as peats and I’m sure if peats was in that roosters team he would play better than friend. Just my opinion though

I'm not sure how any Titans supporter can't be really excited about the prospect of Fermor. Coming back off a major injury, having never played NRL he has really impressed. In his early games he had some defensive issues but Holbrook has come out and said they had no intention of him playing that many minutes and only had to do so because of injuries. Even this week when he came back in after being out for 4 or so weeks it is not like he has been playing qcup to get his fitness up.

I have read others saying they don't want Thompson on the wing as they want 2 big wingers. Don has 10cm and 10kgs over Thompson but I know who I want in my team every week.

As far as our players off contract, I think we let Peats, Roberts, Proctor and Copley walk. Peachey for me offers nothing but versatility. Like everyone I am looking at our options for hooker but think next year we might need to go with a combo of Rein / Boyd.

What we really need is a strike centre opposite Kelly. Pipe-dream stuff, but I read yesterday a rumour that Kotoni Staggs is frustrated at the Broncos and may be looking for an out.

So my final concern is if our starting team next year looks like-
