I believe Jai is a man of character who doesn’t take the weak option. I haven’t given up on him.

Where did you find this out? Jonus Pearson? Why? I never thought much of him at all. Would rather they went after katoni Staggs before he re signed. I hope holbrook is making these decisions not just Mal.

Gold Coast Titans set to lock in Dragons flyer Jonus Pearson

    Travis Meyn, The Courier-Mail

Titans coach Justin Holbrook is set to secure his first official signing since taking over the club, with St George Illawarra winger Jonus Pearson preparing for a move to the Gold Coast.

New Gold Coast Titans coach Justin Holbrook is set to land his first signing in former Broncos winger Jonus Pearson.

The Courier-Mail understands Pearson is set to leave the Dragons and ink a two-year deal with the Titans immediately.

He will become Holbrook’s first addition to the Titans’ playing roster since he joined the club from St Helens.

Pearson, 24, came through Brisbane’s lower grades and the Redcliffe Dolphins, playing 11 NRL games for the Broncos from 2016-18.

He made 10 NRL appearances for St George-Illawarra in the back half of the 2019 season.

But an immediate move to the Gold Coast is now on the cards as Holbrook looks to bolster his outside back stocks.

The Titans still have five spots to fill in their top 30 squad for 2019 and must secure four signings before March 1.

Pearson is set to fill one of those holes while Holbrook has also held talks with ex-Broncos and Titans back Josh Hoffman.

So it looks like we'll lose Arrow and at the moment might have Pearson. In other words a far more inferior side than the one that "won" the wooden spoon by 4 clear games.
Unless the coach is a miracle worker, a train wreck.

Thanks very much....was actually wanting to see this so called link saying Arrow has gone.
In terms of Pearson well at 24 years of age I’d rather give Pearson a crack than recycle Hoffman

That's all good Bodsy. I couldn't find anything from CM saying about Arrow definitely being gone. Time will tell I guess.

Jonas Pearson? Holbrook and staff will need to be miracle workers to lift us out of this mediocrity. I hope they are, but not sure how a specialist winger helps.

I don’t mind the Pearson signing. We need outside backs and there really isn’t much on the market. I read yesterday that Troy Leo is our injured until June next year so there was no point in signing him. We know what Don and Copley can do so why not give someone else a crack. GL can’t be impressing that much though if they didn’t didn’t sign him first. He’s gone on to sign for Burleigh next year as well.

Just because we signed Pearson it doesn’t mean Arrow is gone. Pearson would only be on Gordon’s money from last year. Unless you 100% know that he is gone from either an official source or from the horses mouth (ie Jai himself) then can we refrain from speculating on here? It’s no better than reading those unquoted speculative media pieces online.

I see where you are coming from but if people didn't speculate on this thread, whether it be about Arrow or anyone else, the thread wouldn't really exist.
I'm speculating here, but if Arrow hasn't signed by now after having a good offer in front of him for weeks, it doesn't look good. My only hope is that he follows all his comments throughout this saga about wanting to stay, otherwise he'll look foolish. However, I'm ready for the comments such as "I really wanted to stay", "it's not about the money", "we did it for my partners career" blah blah blah.
It's always about the money and the Mr 10% leeches that manage them.
