My concern is the talk of offering stupid money for a long period to "tie him up". I've seen plenty of young players hit the scene year after year that I would say are just as good if not better than what he has shown this year. I'd go after Papyenhausen (sorry) if I was offering stupid money for 2nd year hopefuls.

I wouldn't go breaking the bank for him either. All I was really getting at that I don't think we're getting a true representation of what he can be capable of given the circumstances.
