Default Round 19: Sydney Roosters v Gold Coast Titans

    Sydney Cricket Ground (Sunday 2pm)

    - - - Updated - - -

Dammit, did it again. Round 20

Sydney Roosters v Gold Coast Titans at Sydney Cricket Ground (2pm)

Roosters tips: Roosters prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is facing another suspension for a hit on Bulldogs half Jack Cogger and will miss the Titans clash. Front-rower Siosiua Taukeiaho is in doubt after limping off with a calf injury against the Bulldogs. Skipper Boyd Cordner will also be monitored after suffering a calf complaint. “It’s not his first calf. There’s usually a little bit there, it won’t be long, but enough to annoy us,” Trent Robinson said. Robinson also revealed that English winger Ryan Hall (patella) will be out for “two or three” weeks, while rising lock Nat Butcher is also recovering after playing the last month with a broken rib, joining captain Jake Friend (broken arm) on the sidelines.

Titans tips: Winger Phillip Sami (concussion) and centre Dale Copley (knee) are in doubt after going down with injuries against the Broncos. Jai Arrow is unlikely to overcome his ankle injury in time to take on the Roosters, with a return still another week away at least.

Sami and Copley out will require a bit of a reshuffle. What do we reckon the backline will look like? For me:

    1. AJ
    2. Don
    3. Watkins
    4. Kelly
    5. Gordon
    6. Roberts
    7. Jacks

Not a fan of Jacks but not many other options. I don't like AJ at 7 and would rather have him at fullback with Gordon on the wing.

I really cannot stand Stockwell and don't ever want to see him in the side again. I mean just look at this rubbish:

    Wallace: 52 min, 16 runs, 164 m, 32 tk, 0 mt
    Whitbread: 49 min, 11 runs, 99 m, 34 tk, 5 mt
    Stockwell: 46 min, 6 runs, 57 m, 37 tk, 2 mt
    Fotuaika: 46 min, 16 runs, 186 m, 35 tk, 3 mt
    Latu: 23 min, 6 runs, 54 m, 15 tk, 5 mt

Absolute plodder. How do you play 46 mins as a prop and only make 6 runs?

Agree but I’d like another try of Peachey at 5/8 rather than Jacks.
Not sure what the Go is with Boyd but if available a straight swap with Stockwell for sure.

Yeah I'd be happy to give Peach a run at 5/8 with Tyrone at 7. Honestly can't be any worse than Tyrone/Jacks.

I'd be going Jacks/Peachey. Im so sick of seeing Roberts and Don in Titans colours. They are both prime symbols of how mediocre this team is. They both do one good thing every three or four weeks and everyone thinks that the sun shines out of their a@#s, but then turn in below average performances every other week.

That must be it as they have said that it's a "hip" injury. Probably something he'd play with if we were challenging for the 8 but I suppose not worth the risk with us being on the bottom. Geez we are lacking some strike though without him

Just when you think you've seen the worst Titans team on paper they pull these selections.

Oh my god I just fell off my chair at that bench. Peachey, Cartwright and Lee on the bench will surely strike fear into the Roosters... I know we have a few injuries but that team is absolutely awful. As much as I love my Titans, if we don't get towelled up I would be shocked

Friend, Cordner, Taukeiaho, Waerea-Hargreaves, Butcher, Hall all out but we're still gonna lose by 40.

Sounds like a grave injury. I'll see myself out...

Just tried to find out where the hell Hipgrave is. Just saw Shannon Boyd is out for the season for a shoulder reconstruction. He must have hurt it falling to the ground immediately after being tackled because it couldn't have happened when he was tackling someone else surely?!?!?

Could find anything on Hipgrave though.

Dunno if I'd be throwing the word "Cocks" around too much, man. Because our mob could easily be labelled the soft cocks this season.

Off topic: I wonder if Bronco Bill will blow by this week and have a little chat about the drubbing the Storm dished up to his almighty Drongoes last night? Premiership contenders... Pigs ****!
