It was never a full time role though. He still had commitments to Fox and was still the Australia coach. He stepped up into the temporary Head of Football role when the club needed him. The job he was hired to do was to review the club and install processes to create a winning culture, which is what he has done. Why don't we judge him at the end of next season after seeing how his decisions have been implemented.
I get that it is not ideal that he isn't living in the city, in a perfect world he would. They are his days off though he is free to do what he likes.

It's a good idea Bods but Mal got the job because of his prior success which (whether people like it or not) speaks for itself. He's been with the club for one year, we can't realistically expect immediate success. I'd love to see both those guys hanging around the club in some capacity though.
